Black Lives Matter is an international human rights movement which campaigns against violence and systematic
racism towards black people. On May 25, 2020, a 46-year-old African- American man named George Floyd died after
a police officer knelt on his neck while handcuffed and lying face down on the street for almost nine minutes. Floyd
had been arrested on suspicion of using counterfeit bill. Floyd’s death triggered protests against police racism and lack
