REFLECTION PAPER

I will focus more on my idea of ethics (instead of the topics stated on order to be original,

lol) and apply what I learned in the lesson to this essay.

The term "ethics" for me refers to a set of moral ideals. They have an impact on how

people make choices and live their lives. Ethics, often known as moral philosophy, is concerned

with what is beneficial for individuals and society. People who follow a code of ethics are

essentially obeying guidelines that define what is right and wrong. If people can live by this, they

will avoid compromising circumstances and disputes even more. They will also be able to work

and coexist in groups of people with whom they do not always get along. This is very crucial in

our current reality.

The following is my personal code of ethics: My golden rule is to treat others the same

way you want to be treated. In my personal life, my philosophy and rule are to treat others as I

would want to be treated. Respect people and you will be respected in return. Never show

contempt to people or disregard their sentiments. Everyone has the right to their own viewpoint

and the freedom to express their feelings. I also adhere to the rule of universality. “Would it be

okay if everyone did it?” asks this rule. Minimizing the consequences of our own acts is one of

the simplest methods to persuade ourselves that they are not unethical. This is a crucial rule to

remember. It is critical to consider things before acting on them.

My personal code of ethics pertains to my daily interactions with individuals in my own

life. I treat everyone in the same way that I want to be treated. My "professional" (professional as

being a student) code of ethics governs my professional/student interactions with my classmates,

teachers, and administrators daily. I treat my colleagues the way I would like to be treated. I also

treat others with respect, particularly fellow teachers and administrators, and expect the same in

return. Building professional relationships necessitates this. I expect others to treat me with

respect, and I expect the same in return.

There are a few ethical disparities between my personal and professional lives. In my

private life, I am more personal and have a more intimate relationship with my family and

friends than I would in a professional context. Even with my family and friends, though, I apply

the guiding principles to how I treat people who are closest to me. I pay special attention to how

I speak to others and how my body language reflects how I am feeling in my working situation.

To sum up, I believe that ethics provides people with a way to exert control over

themselves and the situations they find themselves in. I feel that doing what you believe is right

is the finest way to live your life. Understanding the distinction between right and wrong can

make or break any situation in which you are involved. We will be able to live a stress-free life if

we know how to regulate situations by applying our own personal code of ethics. We will also be

able to work and live-in peaceful surroundings where people can get along and collaborate to get

things done in their lives.
