3) INTRODUCTION
Introduction to System:-
The Tourism management system is a stand-alone based application and
maintains a centralized repository of all related information.
The objective of this project is to develop a system that automates the processes
and activities of a customer details.
The purpose is to design a system using which one can perform all operations
related to travelling and sight-seeing

The software has a number of main functional areas.

 It can used to maintain details about customer details.

 It can be used to record the monthly income & expense transactions so that
you can keep an accurate record of the financial dealings of the ‘tourism
company’. These details tend to be maintained monthly.

7 Tourism management system

 It can be used as an analysis tool to easily & quickly determine the progress
of your tourism company through the use of reports & financial analysis.

 It can keep details about Tourism company maintenance.

 It helpful for the search existing customer details.

 It can be used an analysis tool to easily & quickly determine the progress of
Tourism company.

4) SCOPE OF THE
SYSTEM
Scope of the System:-
Tourism management system is an integrated
software .developed for tour operating companies the main aim of this project is
to help the tourism companies to manage their customer hotels and flight.
It makes all standalone platform makes Tourism management easy by handling
and providing services for the customer located at different modules have been
incorporated in this project to handle different parts and sectors of the tour
management field.

The scope has a number of main functional areas.

 It is use Tourism company owner to maintain his database accurately.

 This system provides security.

8 Tourism management system

 It also helps to maintain customer records.

 This provides security about customer.

 It helps to searching customer details quickly & easily.

 It helps to maintain database accurately.

 It helps to user when then errors occurs then user can handle these error
easily.

 This is user-friendly because when user do the mistake then this system
give message to user, then user can understand what next action is belongs
to project.

5) EXISITING
SYSTEM
Existing System:-
The existing system means manual collects data from
various source and perform validation on that generated data .The existing
system has very less efficiency because it doesn’t deal with instant updating of
the records in database the existing system doesn’t support the complete
verification of entries
The present systems are inadequate in providing information and advices to
customers about tour plans. It is very time consuming.

Advantages of existing System:

1. The current system is simple.

2. The system is easy to understand.

9 Tourism management system

3. The project you can put it any where in the any drive then also project can
execute easily.

Disadvantages of existing system:

1. The existing system use manual resources on large scale so the information did
not process its own attributes.

2. All process of retrieving and accessing the data manually is time consuming.

3. Difficult to maintain the record of customer manually.

4. Difficult to fill up the manually form of customer time consuming.

5. Calculation of payment is difficult to manually.

6. Operator may commit some mistakes.

6) THE PROPOSED
SYSTEM
The Proposed System:-

The proposed system that will be a computerized system will be fast and more
accurate. It will handle the data efficiency and data accession will be easy.
Maintenance and updating of bills, reports will be easier compared to the manual
system. The proposed system will maintain different files for all information about
customer, package, bookings ( tour hotel flight ) and payment, discount information
etc.

We propose to deal the Tourism management system keeping in view the

following primary factors:

1) To maintain the customer records.

10 Tourism management system
2) To maintain the equipment in good working condition
3) To have real time information of the information.

Advantages of computerized system:-

1. User Friendly - This system is user friendly this

System handled any user without Training.

2. Accuracy - This very accurate so avoid the unexpected error.

3. Cost - This system less cost so every One buys this system.

4. Retrieve data easily - This system is useful for Retrieving data from the
Database easily.

7) SYSTEM ANALYSIS
7.1) Fact Finding Technique:-
The specific method used to collect data about requirements is called as fact-
finding techniques. Success of any requirement investigation depends upon availability of
accurate and reliable data. This depends on the appropriateness method chosen for data
collection.
These Different Fact finding techniques are as follows,
1] Interview
2] Questionnaire
3] Record Review
4] Observation.

In Tourism management system at the time of requirement analysis all above mentioned
techniques we are used.

7.1.1. Interview-
When we visit the undisclosed client, we are selected one respondent who
are related with the system under study. And ask different questions regarding with
Assessment process and clear up doubts. At the time of asking question related with system
11 Tourism management system
we are crosscheck the respondent. This method is use for collecting more Accurate and
reliable data. We asked questions such that what type of customer and records are
maintained etc.

7.1.2. Questionnaire-
A Questionnaire is a Performa containing a sequence to questions to
elicit formation mostly from a large number of persons. When we use Questionnaire
technique to collect information for designing our system following types of Questions are
asked to respondent for which user developed a system.

7.1.3. Record Review –

Information related with the system may be present in the form of records
like books, Magazines, newspapers, letters, manuals etc. This kind provides very valuable
information to the analyst about the system. Record Review may be performed in the
beginning of study to collect initial information or at the end of the study to compare actual
operation.

7.1.4. Observation-
This method is most useful when analysts need to actually observe how documents are
handled, how processes are carried out and whether specification actually fallowed

7.2) Feasibility Study:-

Tourism management system development study of the system is carried out which
involves………

7.2.1 Technical Feasibility:-

i. The system is developed using (Visual Basic6.0 & Microsoft Access2010).The
Machine configuration also support the system.
ii. The system being user friendly .data entry & Data store is made easy

iii. Easy retrieval and access of data is provided.

7.2.2 Economical Feasibility:-

Economical feasibility is basically a Cost benefit analysis
The cost concerned is …..

i. The cost for system development.

ii. The cost of hardware, software for the system is presented economical.

iii. The benefit can be seen in form cost cutting due to fat working.

12 Tourism management system

iv. The user training is also included in cost of making the software, so it is
beneficial deal.

7.2.3 Operational Feasibility:-

Cost of implementation of the system as well as the installation that to consider
in the operational feasibility after implementation of the system there is need to
arrange training program.
For Users of the System .Expenditure for this system is also a part of this study.

7.3) HARDWARE & SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT:-

The following Hardware and Software requirement is suggested for the application package
“Tourism management system “under development.

Hardware Requirements

 Processor:- Pentium 4 processor

 Minimum Memory:-250 MB

 Peripheral Devices:-Printer, Scanner

Software Requirements

 Operating system: - Windows XP, Win2000, Vista & Win7 (32 & 64-bits)

11) FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

39 Tourism management system
No system can be claimed to be perfect and comprehensive
in this area of software explosion, where other day new
software gets released. So, what is required for a good system
is that it should be flexible to encompass modification
whenever need arises and should Facilitate easy maintenance.
Keeping this in mind, this system has been developed in away,
as it accommodates future enhancements and modifications.
Similarly, various features have been included in this system by
giving due to Considerations of the futures need of the
organizations. As this System is developed using a modular
approach, it facilitates easy maintenance.
In further developments the project can be scaled upwards
to easily incorporate a bigger system and Database in
networking.
