Summary Bisrate has a PhD in Psychology from the University of South Africa (2014).
He has also graduated from the Addis Ababa University in Sociology and Social
Administration (B.A.) and Developmental Psychology (M.A.). Bisrate has 12 years of
experience of consulting experiences in carrying out gender assessments and has been
trained in qualitative methods, particularly focus group discussions. Bisrate has strong
collective research skills including proficiency in using qualitative data analysis packages,
ATLAS. He has natural skills for cultural awareness and sensitivity to gender issues; Bisrate
has experience working directly with project teams and interacting with governments on
gender-specific issues such as the Ministry of Women’s Affairs. Bisrate has proven ability to
work independently and conduct quality fieldwork, data analysis, and assessment. He has
