History and Introduction of Milcent Appliances Pvt. Ltd.

 The mother company of MILCENT APPLIANCES PVT LTD., SWASTIK


ENGINEERING WORKS was established in 1946. Swastik Engineering Works was
a very small company which employed 7-8 workers and was simply involved in
repairing ail engine. The founders of this company were 2 partners,
 It has nine branch offices which are also our sales & services centers & we have more
than 250 retail dealers in India. It is presence in all major states of India.
 Because of enthusiasm of the founders, Milcent Group launched a hand driven curd
churning machine in the market and subsequently domestic electric curd churning
machine was developed. For this invention, the founders of the Milcent Group got
patent rights and were honored by the Finance Minister, Government of India, Mr.
Morarji Desai by awarding a gold medal to Mr. Jashbhai Patel, the father of present
administrators.
 The subsequent development of the Milcent Group was domestic electric flour mill
which was launched in the market in the year 1960. This was also invented by the
founder of the Milcent Group for which the group enjoyed patent rights for 16 years.
Thus, invention has been an inherent characteristic of the Milcent Group. After the
launch of the domestic electric flour mill, the company began its advancement and
started expansion of the business. As time went by, the product became more popular
in the market and has now colored the life of the people with more convenience and
comfort, simultaneously saving cost of grinding grains manually. The second
generation and present administrators, Mr. Rohitbhai Patel and Mr. Jitubhai Patel,
took over the management in the year 1972. Since then, many different models have
been developed and launched in the market. Milcent has now established a nationwide
sales and service network.
 Milcent Group has also diversified and expanded its' activities into developing
residential schemes of bungalows and multi-storied buildings and also to
pharmaceutical products under the name of MARCK BIOSCIENCES (INDIA) LTD.

Milcent company prefer internal sources of recruitment as compare to external


sources of recruitment. Recruitment process done by H.R person. In this he checks the
candidate skills, knowledge, experience or fresher, personality, willingness towards

hiring after that final interview is taken by the Managing Directors.

Training and Development: -

 The selected employees are capable to do the job but they are given the training
because to do that job varies effectively and accurately it gives people awareness of
the rules and procedure to guiding their behavior. The personnel learn technical
knowledge and skilled particular job. Training in MILCENT is of one year. They
gave training subject life safety productivity at the central board for workers
education and ministry of labor government of India.

The company gives training through:

 Once the person is selected as per needs the HR person gives training. Training is
been conducted through lecture, presentation, and demonstration.
 Training programmed is develop for new employees initially the employees work as
helper under the guidance of the simultaneously they work intently on a machine.
DEVELOPMENT: Is long term education process utilization a system and organized
procedure which managerial personnel procedure get conceptual and theoretical
knowledge cn skills in operation but to philosophical and theoretical education
concept.

Promotion and Transfer Policy

Generally, promotion is made on three bases.

1. Seniority base

2. Merit base

3. Seniority cum merit base

In MILCENT promotion is done on both bases that is on merit and seniority bases, they have
adopted merit cum seniority base. Generally, after every 7 years promotion is given to
graduate and diploma holders and who have passed I.T.I in higher level employees they
provided sometimes seniority as well as base.
TRANSFER: Transfer is just a movement of employees from one position to another it may
be the movement of employee's forms one job section shift plant or positioning to another. in
transfer his salary status and responsibility do not change for office the manual transfer is
there but for workers or labor transfer is depend upon in the unit.
