1) This document provides an example of calculating semester grade point average (SGPA) and cumulative grade point average (CGPA) for a student over two semesters.
2) In the first semester, the student's SGPA is 6.125 based on earning 147 grade points from 21 registered credits. Their CGPA is also 7.0 based on 147 grade points from 21 earned credits.
3) In the second semester, the student's SGPA is 6.13 based on earning 141 grade points from 20 registered credits. Their CGPA is now 7.02 based on earning 288 total grade points from 41 cumulative earned credits.
