Data Scientist – Natural Language Processing (Arabic)


OBJECTIVE:
Our client is the leading Technology Consulting Firm in Abu Dhabi, UAE and looking to grow their team.
Looking for a great colleague who is also a passionate about Machine Learning tech to join their team.
Someone who is forward thinking and passionate about working with cutting edge technology.

As a Data Scientist in our team, you possess a broad knowledge of Machine Learning and software
development techniques to help design and implement a cutting-edge AI platform. You will focus on
designing, implementing and maintaining various Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning codes. You
will work with a multidisciplinary team of smart people, including Product Managers, and Software
Developers, to advance a state-of-the-art AI platform that can be applied to domains like Robotics,
Optimization, Control, Anomaly detection and Machine Vision.

This is a role that will play to your strengths - communication skills, systems savviness, and an ability to
excel in a highly entrepreneurial. You'll join a passionate team, with an amazing culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Strong background in machine learning and deep learning and knowledge of at least one deep
learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow)
 Strong math background especially in the following topics: linear algebra, calculus, probability,
and statistics
 Strong programming experience in Python
 Proven NLP experience in topics such as text classification, named-entity recognition, text
summarization, question answering, chatbot, translation, and sentiment analysis
 Proven NLP experience with ML algorithms such as SVM, Naïve Bayes, and state of the art deep
learning models such as transformers (e.g. BERT), RNNs, and LSTMs.
 Familiarity with SQL programming is a plus
 Familiarity with R programming language is a plus
 Familiarity with distributed computing platforms (Hadoop, and Spark) is a plus
 Familiarity with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash) is a plus

Qualifications and Experience:

 Strong background in machine learning and deep learning and knowledge of at least one deep
learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow)
 Master’s degree (PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field, preferably in computer science,
mathematics, or electrical / computer engineering with significant research project experience
in AI / machine learning topics
 4+ years' experience with Software Engineering.
 4+ years' experience in AI and ML algorithm development.
 Hands-on experience with AI frameworks (TensorFLow, PyTorch, Keras) and Python.
 Have the ability to be able to read and process Arabic language
 Experience with one Cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, Azure, etc
