OBJETIVOS: 1. Students can compare common items, can describe clothes. 2. Students can share opinions about image, appearance and fashion. 3. Understand conversations and texts about fashion. 4. Describe family pictures.
PRESENTACIÓN: In this unit you will understand the use of comparative and superlative adjectives. It is important to keep in mind the rules in each case. Please read the information carefully and develop the proposed exercises.
Read the next fashion quotes. Do you agree with them? Why? Why not? Answer the following questions
● How important is fashion for you?
For me, fashion is not important because I believe that the essence of a person is in their feelings and in their way of thinking.
● What kind of clothes do you like?
I like to wear comfortable and sporty clothes. I love dressing in gray and black clothes, because I think they are very versatile colors.
● What item of clothing would you never wear?
I would never wear a skirt.
● What do you normally wear to class?
I normally wear the first thing that I see, trying to match the clothes in the best possible way, but without making it too complicated.
● What colors do you prefer in your clothes?
I prefer to wear black, white or gray clothes.
● What are your favorite designer brands?
I don’t have a favorite designer brands.
● What kind of clothes did you wear during quarantine?
I usually wear a pijama or a sweatrousers with a t-shirt and crocs. :(
● What is the difference between the clothes you wear to class and the clothes you wear at home?
The difference is that the clothes for class are newer than the clothes that I wear at home.

TASK
1. Look for pictures of your family in the past and now in the present. Compare the pictures and write a paragraph (50 to 60 words) describing how they used to get dressed and what fashion trends are different now using comparative and superlative adjectives and vocabulary related to clothes and accessories.
The adults in my family used to wear more casual clothes than now. In the images we can see how in the past, they wore wide-boot pants, oversized jackets, caps and sports sneakers.
Now my parents always wear more elegant shirts than before. Now they no longer wear jeans as often as they used to, because for them they are not as comfortable as the cloth pants that they wear. The same thing happens with their shoes. Now they prefer to wear more formal shoes, becouse they don't like tennis as much as before.
