CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

In today's globalization era, people tend to meet their needs by embarking on the

entrepreneur path, which can range from a small to a large chain of business. Creativity is

essential for opening new doors in any job field and expanding an existing business.

'Hai' in Japanese means 'Yes," so this feasibility study is called 'Hai Ramen' because it

essentially means 'Yes to Ramen.' It can be a great way to promote the business while

also attracting customers to try the ramen.

Ramen is a well-known dish that was imported from China to Japan; ramen-

noodle shops first became popular in both countries in the early 1900s, and the noodles

were actually known in Japan as "Chinese soba" noodles until the 1950s. Simply put,

ramen is a Japanese noodle soup made up of a richly flavored broth, one of several types

of noodles, and a variety of meats or vegetables, often topped with a boiled egg.

More so, it has long been a convenient and inexpensive meal for students. Its

quick and painless preparation, combined with its low cost, has made it a lifesaver for

students on a tight budget. Consumers of Ramen noodle consumed more grain products,

seasonings, and oils than non-consumers.

With above ideas that are so inspiring- a lead that stirs the proponents to engage

into a would-be business, they bolstered their decision to come up with a feasibility

study. The proposed study seeks to decide the feasibility of opening this popular cuisine –

Ramen.

1
Furthermore, the long-term goal of this research is to assess the viability of a

ramen noodle business plan due to its popularity and inexpensiveness that would be

convenient to the customers. This feasibility study will be reviewed from six

perspectives: market, technical, management, legal, environmental, and financial.

Thus, this feasibility study is undertaken to see if the planned business is bent to

the viable side.

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT

A. Name of the Project

With much brainstorming of names possible for the would-be business, the

proponents were able to arrive at a decision - it is "Hai Ramen." It is a combination of the

Japanese word 'Hai,' which means 'Yes,' and the well-known 'Ramen' Noodle. The

proponents chose the business name because it is catchy and appropriate for the business,

and it could be an intriguing name that could be a great way to promote the business

while also attracting customers to try the ramen.

When the tasting portion takes place, the first "try" will never be the first and last

because it will undoubtedly lead to more return visits to satisfy gustatory cravings.

customers, the business will be located along the National Highway, Buug, Zamboanga
