Ericsson RBS6102 Power Parameter Configuration

This document provides instructions for configuring power parameters for an Ericsson RBS6102 base station with either an RUS (feeder) or RRUS (fiber) setup. It includes setting the charge mode and battery type in OMT52, then defining voltages like float, boost, and limits based on the battery type and site characteristics. Settings for various battery manufacturers like Huawei, China Shoto, and Narada are included. It also provides examples of configuring parameters for Huawei and China Shoto lithium batteries in a normal, non-cascaded site setup.

Ericsson RBS6102 Power Parameter Configuration:

FOR RBS6120 with RUS (feeder)

1- Before define power parameters Use OMT 52 to change both charge mode and battery type
into User defined from configuration tap.
2- User upper version from OMT for Example OMT77 to complete other power parameters.

 BLVD and LLVD

Batteries Types Normal Site (Less than 2 High cascaded site (More than or
cascade) Equal 2 sites)

Huawei Lithium 100A BLVD:44V BLVD:44V

LLVD :45V LLVD :48V

ChinaShoto Lithium 100A BLVD:44V BLVD:44V

LLVD :45V LLVD :47V

Narada Lithium 100A BLVD:45V BLVD:45V

LLVD :46V LLVD :47.4

For Example, for Huawei Lithium Battery 100Ah: (normal site not cascaded)
3- Then define float and Boost voltage as per below:

Open battery type parameters and set float and elevated voltage

Parameters Standard Value

Huawei China Shoto Narada
Single battery Capacity 100 Ah
100 Ah 100 Ah
Equalized charge voltage 53.5 V
54 V 54.1 V
Float charge voltage 53.4 V
52 V 54 V
Standard charge current 0.2C
0.2C 0.2C

For Example, for Huawei Lithium Battery 100Ah: (normal site not cascaded)
4- Then let batteries charge and check PSU and PFU output voltage to match it with parameters.

For Example, for Huawei Lithium Battery 100Ah:

For Example, for Chinashoto Lithium Battery 100Ah:

FOR RBS6120 with RRUS (Fiber)

 For fiber RBS6102 (RRUs) please use OMT52 to create IDB with RUs and install it at Master DUG
then enter to DUG using OMT77 and modify RUs to RRUs.
 Enable Walk in parameter at rectifier setting.
 Adjust battery rated capacity according to actual number of batteries

For Example: if we have 4 batteries 100Ah rated capacity will be 400Ah
