A mechanic instructor selected two of his best students to investigate the underlying engine

problems of his car. In order to gather information on the engine, one student used books

while others used websites

a) List 3 other suitable information sources that students could use 3 marks

b) Describe 3 characteristics of the information sources that should be considered as the

students gather information on the engine

c) Outline 2 disadvantages of using books rather than a website as an information

source.

After solving his car’s engine problems, the instructor decided to disseminate the information via

the internet.

e) Identify one of the least effective tools for disseminating the information. Justify your

choice.
