The Baker Model “F” Non-Ported Seating Nip-
ple is a downhole tubing nipple used to locate,
seal, and retain Baker Flow Control accessories
which utilize selective and/or top no-go locking de-
vices. These accessories, which are run and re-
trieved on wireline, will enable virtually any
downhole flow control operation to be performed.
The Model “F” contains a top no-go shoulder
and a locking groove. The shoulder and groove are
used for top no-go landing; groove only is used in
selective locating and landing.
Any number of “F” nipples can be used in one
tubing string where selective Model “S” Locks are
used with the downhole accessory product.

Features / Benefits
• Material Selection - Alloy steel, stainless steel
and 9Cr-1Mo are heat-treated to NACE
specifications. (Hardness is 20-22 Rc.)
• Versatility - Functions in top no-go or selective
systems.
• Seal Bore - Contoured and polished to pass
chevron packing without damage.
• Integral locking groove.
• OD same as Coupling OD with properties
corresponding to N-80 or better.
• Nipples ordered with Turned-down ODs
correspond to turned-down N-80 couplings in
diameter and properties.
• Service Chevron Packing is standard on all Drawing No. 295-398
accessories.
