INTRODUCTION

The objective of this assignment is to assess students’ ability to discuss the economics principles
through understanding economic term in current economic situation. Students shall in the end
understand the application of economics theory to the real case scenario through prominent writers.

TASK

Each student is required to choose and write on ONE (1) of the current economic issue in Malaysia.
Example current issue like GST implementation, decreasing Malaysian currency, unemployment and
foreign worker, minimum wages, impact of country debt ect. Report must have:

1. Introduction (briefly explain the issue)


2. Cause of the issue
3. Effect to Malaysian economy
4. How to solve the issue
5. Conclusion

The report should be written using Arial, font size 12, one and half-spacing and justified. Marking
shall be given based on students’ efforts, content, ideas, analysis, professionalism and originality. The
report shall be submitted in Week 17. Students must adhere to the deadline. Failure to do so, marks
will be deducted 10% per day of late submission.
