APAEC is the regional blueprint for the energy sector in the framework of the www.aseanenergy.org
ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) implementation. Being the blueprint of the
energy cooperation in the region, APAEC plays a vital role in setting a
sustainable future of ASEAN energy landscape.

The APAEC department is responsible for the development, coordination,


implementation, monitoring, evaluation, score carding, and reporting with
regards to programmes and projects in light of the priorities of the ASEAN
Ministers of Energy Meeting / Senior Officials Meeting on Energy; and the seven
(7) specialised areas, namely: 1) ASEAN Power Grid, 2) Trans-ASEAN Gas
Pipeline, 3) Coal and Clean Coal Technology, 4) Energy Efficiency and
Conservation, 5) Renewable Energy, 6) Regional Energy Policy and Planning,
7) Civilian Nuclear Energy.

In this regard, ACE would like to invite ASEAN nationals to apply for the position
of APAEC Department Intern, with the following details:

POSITION IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: Intern for APAEC Department

Department: ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC)

Reporting To: Senior Manager of APAEC Department

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general guidance of the APAEC Department, the intern will perform
the following activities:

1. Support the preparation of the APAEC programme implementation.

2. Develop energy related articles in promoting regional energy cooperation.

3. Support other activities of ACE as assigned by the Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Interest and knowledge in the field of ACE’s work, particularly the APAEC Directorate General of
Electricity

• Enrolled in bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, energy studies, www.aseanenergy.org

international relationship, or related field (minimum of third-year student for


bachelor level).

• Graduated with a university degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent)


and, if selected, must commence the internship within a 6-month period after
graduation.

• Basic knowledge on general computer software (i.e., MS Office)

• Good organisational skills.

• Ability to work in a team and to adapt to an international working


environment.

Interns work under the supervision of Senior Manager of APAEC Department.


The normal duration of an internship is two (2) months, which can be extended
for a maximum of six (6) months by mutual consent. The intern is entitled for
internship allowance of IDR 100,000 or US$ 7 per effective working day to cover
their daily meal and transport.
