46. Ved Prakash travels 600 km to his home partly by train and partly by car. He takes 8 hours. If he
travels 120 km by train and the remaining distance by car. If he travels 200 km by train and
the remaining distance by car he takes 20 minutes longer. Find the speed of the train and the
car separately.
47. A man starts his job with a certain monthly salary and earns a fixed increment every year. If his
salary was Rs 1500 after 4 years of service and Rs 1800 after 10 years of service, what was his
starting salary and what is the annual increment?
