    ACTIVITY

    The advantages when senior citizens learn how to use the


    technology are making social connections, safety,
    entertainment, convenience, and devices that monitor
    seniors’ health. Consuming diverse sources of information
    with a solid track record for fact-checking their sources
    and from various points of view is the best approach to
    become media and information literate. Even so, it's
    always a good idea to double-check the report's sources.
    People are literate if they approach the source of
    knowledge without any preexisting cognitive biases.
    Learning is the goal of the media and information.
    WRAP-UP

    Relate the topic of media and information literate


    individuals to the below post. Is Bill a media and
    information-literate individual? Does he apply critical
    thinking skills?

    -Media analysis, which is a crucial part of media and


    information literacy, can develop critical thinking skills
    by strengthening observation and interpretation. For
    example, Bill just moves on when he saw something that
    offends him because he has critical thinking and we can
    say that he is indeed a media and information literate
    individual. Remember that if you see something that
    offends you, that doesn’t mean you should call it out all
    the time.

    ‣ She should make use of her technological abilities to


    find appropriate media and information sources.

    ‣ She needs to know the things that affect her directly.


    If she wants to fight disinformation, give priority to
    those topics. Otherwise, she’ll waste her time with
    irrelevant, although interesting, information.

    ‣ Another fantastic technique to demonstrate her


    comprehension of the media and information she is using is
    to have a critical attitude and knowledge of how to build
    media and information.

    ‣ In participating in the media requires critical


    attitudes and knowledge of where and how to communicate
    with journalists and editors of the media, as well as
    other people, through old and new media.

    ‣ Her unclouded capacity to assess information and discern


    the truth necessitates a fair dose of skepticism and, in
    many cases, extensive investigation.
