III. PROBLEM PRESENTED


Presenting Problem
Mary Grace is currently pregnant for the second time. Her problem is how she is going to support
the needs of her babies when in fact her husband left her after getting pregnant.
Underlying Problem
Mary Grace is now feeling despair due to financial needs to support her two children alone and
being stressed too much from her husband left them hanging and letting his family suffer from the
problem. Although the family of Mary Grace is helping her to sustained foods but it is not enough
because they are already old and who also needs medical support.
Despite of that, Mary Grace is receiving salary amounting 3,500 every 15 days for online tutor.
Nonetheless, it is still not enough to support the needs of her children. She has no other to rely on
supporting her needs. Mary Grace is now asking and seeking for financial support from the Non-
Government Organization or any organization that may help her problem.

IV. BACKGROUND OF CLIENT AND FAMILY

Mary Grace grew up with the presence of her parents. Her mother was diagnosed a heart problem
when she’s 15 years old. She thinks having a boyfriend could help her problem. She had a boyfriend
in her school secretly and then after many months she got pregnant and another problem came.
However her parents know about her secrets, it turns out that she’s being kicked out of her parent’s
house. Years have passed when first baby was 3 years old. Everything went okay not until she noticed
that her husband is cheating on her. Mary Grace caught her husband with another girl but at the same
time she didn’t notice that she’s pregnant for her second baby because of many problems came into
her life. Her husband left them alone without knowing that his wife is pregnant for the second time.
Mary Grace goes to her parents and asking for forgiveness for what she has done and her parents
accepted her and her two children with all their heart. As of now Mary Grace is currently working in
the fast food restaurant for the mean time. She only relies on her small salary which quite not enough
because she is going to have a second baby that needs full support.

Goal:
At the end of this year, Mary Grace can be able to find job that provide enough financial and
stable source of income for her family and move on from her past and focus on her family.

a. Receive benefits from her job like health insurance for her.
b. Able to receive financial assistance from NGO’s and any other organization.
c. Be able to cope up with her problem so that she can focus from her job and family.
d. Be employed as a regular employee and receive a stable income for her need and her family.
