DRRR03 Earthquake

The video instructions ask students to watch a video about Haiti's recovery from a catastrophic earthquake, and write a 10 sentence reflection answering 4 questions: 1) What the video was about, 2) how it made them feel, 3) if Haiti recovered, and 4) if their country could survive such an earthquake. The video showed people helping Haiti recover through rebuilding and a song to encourage aid. While watching, the student's heart was touched by people helping each other after disaster. Haiti is still recovering but progressing with outside help, and the student believes their country could also survive with hard work and hope as Filipinos help each other through problems.

1. What is the video all about?


2. What did you feel while watching the video? Elaborate on your
answer.
3. Did Haiti recover after the catastrophic earthquake? Why or why
not?
4. Will our country survive that kind of earthquake? Defend your
answer.

The video shows a bunch of people helping the country Haiti


to recover from the earthquake that its country was
experienced. They composed a song to lift the souls and
encourage everybody to lend a hand for the people of Haiti.
While watching the video, my heart was touched seeing
people helping each other to recover from a disaster
happened. As what you can seen on the video, Haiti hasn’t
recovered yet but on the process of progress. Through the
help of other people, it is not impossible for their country to
recover. If that kind of earthquake will ever happen to our
country, I think we can all do it to survive. Knowing Filipino
people, we are a hardworking individual. We do not loose
hope as there as life. Through the help of others, we can all
conquer every problem that life will give us.
