HCM Extract

To Extract data from particular application.

Navigation: My client group/Organization  Data Exchange HCM ExtractsExtra Definition


Here we can create, or we can do copy existing one and rename.

Based on the requirement we can select the type.

Full Profile means we can get all information about that particular employee.

Changes only mode is for after updating the data, if you want only extract updated data. you have to
select changes only mode, other wise it will extract all the data including changes, non-changes data.

After clicking ok it will open advanced view then save and close the form and open in Basic view you
can see the difference in pictures.
Advanced view

Seach with extra name and click on edit button it will open in basic view.
For this extraction we have to create a data group and Define delivery option and compile the whole
process.

What i

What is user entity?

A user entity is a logical entity associated with a data group defined using
HCM extracts. ... Retrieves all workers and their payrolls across the enterprise, all person,
worker, payroll related attributes, and element entry data.

For every data group there is associated user entity is available like different base tables for
workers, positions, assignments etc. they all are oracle defined only we can’t create our self.
Threading Action Type based on reuirement we can choose.

This will effect entire extraction.

Relationship action is for Dependencies.

Temporary Action Is for 1time use.

For every data group root data group is mandatory, we can create no. of data groups root data
group work like parent. Other wise in compile time will get error.

Root data group is use like, if we have multiple data groups in extract it will give serial number for
remaining data groups. Like joins which one run first.
Threading Database item is work like a primary key selector, base on column only Changes only
mode find the updated record.

After clicking save only records will enable for creation.


Data group filter is used for select particular columns only like select statement. Extract will return
only that column only.

Next data group for if we have multiple data groups.


If you want create multiple columns choose save and create.
Delivery option name : In which format you want to send.
Status must be with green symbol.

After saving goto Hcm extracts and submit the extract.


Search with extract name

Baseline only mode will give all the records and after change we can choose changes only then we
can get only changed records. It will cross check with baseline record and sent changed record only.
