REFLECTION PAPER
“Begin with the end in Mind” Challenge:

“Whenever there is a difficult situation, decide to do the right thing or if you are going to do
things right?”

Whenever there is a difficult situation, I always decide to do right things rather than doing
things right why? Because in a difficult situation it is a must to do right things to be able to
surpass it and to get through with it. By doing right things, we are able to have a good
personality and good impressions to others. And this will foresee us as a good leader and a
good follower for others. Doing things right is like fixing a thing that is wrongly done, and I
believed that this will not help me in a difficult situation because it will cost a lot of time and
effort just to make it right. And we need to be more creative and a visionist in the good things
so it is helpful to do right things than doing things right.

How did you practice the Habit?

I practice this habit by always having a plan and preparation before doing something. As
this habit description, having a plan and a goal before doing something can have a great and
good result in the end. I personally practiced this often times like every time that I am going to
make an essay or school works, for I am able to comprehend and stay focus on the topic at first,
I always jot down all the points related to the topic that I am going to discuss. By completing
these steps of brainstorming I am able to work for the essay and finished it in the best way it
can be. Through having this as a guide for my essay and school works, the topics and key points
can be understood quickly and I am able to produced a good outcome. I can say that this habit
really works and can help us to produced and to make a good outcome/product. And I believed
to “Start with the end outcome and work backward to make your dream possible”.
Is there a change with how you interact with other people?

Yes, it has changed how I interact with other people in a favorable manner since having
a training and developing our brains via this habit has a beneficial impact on how I
communicate and connect with others. As I planned and visualize things, I tend to do it
seriously for I am able to do things right and good. Sometimes I do not socialize with others and
chose to stay focused on what I am doing in that such time. I discovered that having a strong
desire to finished things at its best will require a critical planning and a goal to achieved. And
sharing what you’ve learned with others might help us gain greater knowledge when it comes
to planning.

How did you feel when you practiced the habit?

I feel terrific and delighted for myself while practicing the habit because I know that
having a decent preparation and better planning may truly get me a nice result. I feel powerful
because I know that depending on how well I prepare, I can get the desired outcome. It is
possible to achieve a superior result by doing a terrific deed. Having a sound judgment for each
action may also assist us in navigating various situations without difficulty. You will develop a
pleasant attitude regarding your surroundings if you practice your habit. Because of the
environment, it will be difficult for you to adjust at times, but we need this to achieve our life
goals.

Did practicing the habit make your life easier?

In fact, we made our lives easier and more practical so that we might be as productive
as possible. An easier life does not imply that there will be no difficulties; rather, when we say
"easier life, " we mean making things simpler rather than more complicated. An easier life is not
more stressful than others. It is possible to get the desired results with commitment and hard
effort. Finally, the habits that we exercise provide us with more suggestions by allowing us to
handle things in a more simple and effective manner.
“Put first things first” Challenge:

“Evaluate if you are prioritizing urgent and important matter rather than not urgent but
important matter?”

Back in junior high school, I used to procrastinate every time, not until I discover the true value
of time through getting older. From the day I’ve realized its importance, I always prioritize not
urgent but important matter rather than urgent and important matter. Doing an important
thing is always on our side and this cannot be inevitable in such person. I always do planning
and setting a due for my activities in advance to avoid cramming on the day before the due
date. So, having all of my activities/task done ahead of time will make a way for my habits and
past time to be done and to have a quality time with friends and family. I am one of the living
proofs that prioritizing not urgent but important matter will be a great help for everyone
especially students like me to handle our time wisely and effectively because in the end this will
be beneficial for us, as we do our activities/task ahead of time.

How did you practice the Habit?

I practiced this habit by prioritizing important things/matter before other things. As I


grew up, my parents taught me to always prioritize things that is more important in life because
this will lead us into a great success in the future like prioritizing my study before anything else.
Which I value up to these days and apply in my life as I get older. Every day I always assess my
to do task to know who among them are not urgent but important and I start to work for it
immediately. Like for example, my mother task me to clean our house any of these coming days
and I do it immediately on the next day, so I will have more time to enjoy and relax my mind in
particular reason of doing things ahead of time. On the other hand, my friend randomly asks
me if I can join him in a trip on the next two days, by that I am able to join him to a trip because
I’ve done what is task on me and no need to do it urgent just because I’ve invited on trip and I
think it’s a no because you just obligated to work on your task in reason of you’ll be on a trip on
the coming days. Assessing all of our works and to do things of who among them are not urgent
but important will always help us to finish it quickly and efficiently without rushing.

Is there a change with how you interact with other people?

Yes, it has changed how I interact with other people in acceptable and mannerly way.
Having self-awareness and knowing yourself – your priorities, values, mission, vision, dreams
and taking actions towards those each day will greatly change your interaction with other
people. For as I know what is important, I always prioritize it then do immediately and if there
are others things who line up with this, I always tend to ignore it. I always do first the task that
is given ahead of time and finished it ahead of its due before doing anything else. If someone
invite me to roam around and there are things that I need to finish as soon as possible I say no
to them and explain why I cannot go with them. Saying no to others is not bad, as long as you
know your priority this will lead you in a good path. Having this attitude towards other will
never be bad, you’re just know your priorities and yourself and no one is more important than
this.

How did you feel when you practiced the habit?

I feel proud of myself and feel delighted for I am able to finished things immediately and
handled things in a professional way. I am able to handle which I need to prioritize and those
who can wait. Having this habit will always help us in our path in our journey in the future. If we
are to prioritize things that is not urgent but important to those things that is urgent and
important nowadays, we can possibly carry it in the future. And surely this will bring us in a
good and healthy work environment while we are on a practice of our own professions. Small
practice today will be a great contributor in our future. And I always believed that “everything
happens for a reason” maybe this is happening to us because this will be our own ticket to a
successful life in the future.
Did practicing the habit make your life easier?

Yes, practicing this habit make my life easier for I am able to finished things in advance. I
am able to do others things, I can enjoy and relax after I’ve done all of my task ahead of time. I
also do not need to worry if I do not know what to do the task because there is a lot of time
that I can work with. This also allow me to have a quality time for myself, friends and family. I
am able to treat myself if I finished my task in advanced and it is pleasing to see by others. I am
able to bond with my friends for at least once to twice a week in a night out “gala” and birthday
celebrations. And also, I am able to bond with my family despite of being busy in school
because I have immediately finished all the task that is given to me ahead of time. Knowing our
priorities and ourselves can always help us to assess what is not urgent but important matter.
