Where does this lesson fit in the topic/unit being taught?


This lesson is an introductory lesson of the CBA 1 for second year junior cycle science as part of the
overall junior cycle mark. It is a formal assessment with CBA 1 being 5% of the J.C. science mark.

What prior knowledge do students have about this topic?


Students have covered the chemical reactions module as part of their science curriculum. Students
have completed report writing in the past. Students have investigated scientifically before.
