ACT 3

CAREER GOAL: Two of the most frequent professional objectives are to like my work and to be
passionate about what I am going to accomplish. If you don't feel that way, it might be time to seek
elsewhere. Do my homework while I look for new opportunities so I know what to expect and how
long it will take to get to that new position.
ROLE: Having role models is crucial if we want to advance in our profession, regardless of our field.
Because we may learn vicariously from the great and negative experiences of those who have gone
before us, role models are the ideal shortcut for increasing our knowledge.
LOCATION: I don't want to talk about pay, location, or business history just yet. For the interviewer,
emphasize my professional experience. If I don't yet know what my career objectives and aspirations
are, I'll concentrate on my abilities to execute the work. Look for employment openings in my region.
Locate workforce services in my area or throughout the country. Find the resources you need to study
career information, training, and certification.
AVAILABILITY OF JOB: In terms of interviews, open availability implies that I have no existing meeting
conflicts on my calendar, making it easy for the recruiting manager to schedule an interview. Open
availability in the workplace refers to your possible work schedule. The interviewer is interested in
knowing what days and hours you are available to work, as well as how flexible you are around those
days and hours.
IS THIS A MATCH FOR MY VALUES: The Work Values is a brief card sorting activity in which you rate
statements to determine your ideal work. Your selections reflect your most important values. Work
values are our ideas about what matters most in our jobs. Helping others may be important to one
individual, while professional development or working alone may be important to another.
WHAT ARE THE KEY SKILLS REQUIRED: Communication, teamwork, initiative, problem-solving, and
decision-making are all important skills to have. IT / computer skills Organization, Leadership,
Perseverance, and Dedication Creativity Numeracy
HOW DO I RATE MYSELF IN THIS SKILLS: The abilities required for leadership are not the same as those
required for your job as an expert contributor. Management is a profession in and of itself, and
mastering this function will necessitate the acquisition of a new set of management abilities. It's a
delicate balance between honing your interpersonal abilities and gaining the technical skills necessary
for your new position.
WHAT 1-2 STRENGTHS CAN I FURTHER LEVERAGE: The skills you bring to the job benefit both you and
your company. You may create career objectives and discover the appropriate job to match the
abilities you bring to the workplace after you learn to harness those skills. In this post, we will discuss
how to capitalize on your talents and why this is crucial for your job.
WHAT 1-2 SKILLS WOULD I LIKE TO FOCUS ON DEVELOPING
IN SHORT TERM: To improve performance, concentrate on your strengths rather than your flaws.
IN LONG TERM: To engage individuals, match job assignments to their skills.
