Web Launchpad-Create a page that allows students to access various websites to learn about a

topic, without having to search for them themselves.

What I Learned: In this lesson, I learned how to create and format an illustration on Google

Docs, and I learned how to insert a link into a set of words. I struggled initially with the use of

designing a Google Doc, but I figured that the cleanest and most efficient way to create a list of

websites was to create a table.

ISTE Standard Addressed: 2.5 Designer: Educators design authentic, learner-driven activities

and environments that recognize and accommodate learner variability.

Application of Skills Learned For The Future: The most obvious use for an application of these

skills I think would be something that is necessary in the classrooms of tomorrow: a host website

wherein the links to various other websites for students is created. Say in a history class that you

always used Wikipedia or Britannica or History.com for example; you could create a “home-

page” for your class so they could easily access the files and websites that are often used in the

course. Additionally, students can make their own Web Launchpad for their own studies, perhaps

links to assignments they are working on, etc...
