GANDHI JAYANTI OBSERVED - VKV OYAN

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2 October every year to


mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand
Gandhi, popularly called Mahatma Gandhi and
regarded as the Father of the Nation, leader of the
India’s independence movement, and pioneer of the
philosophy and strategy of non-violence. This year mark
the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and has
been observed by the entire world as Gandhi Jayanti and by United Nations
as 'International Day of Non-violence’.Gandhi Jayati was Observed in our
school. The students, teachers , and all theschool staff members were
present at the moment. The flowers been offered on the feet to give homage
to Mahatma Gandhi.

EXAM TIME
IT’S THE TIME TO ASSESS THE STUDENT

From 25th October 2021onwards, 2nd written examination for classes I to III
was conducted, first term Examination for classes IV to VIII started and 2nd
Periodic Test for classes IX to X . The test was conducted up to 30 th October
2021. Sri Surulivel Bhasakaran Sir is overall in charge of the examinations.
SCHOOL-LEVEL GITA CHANTING COMPETITION

School-level Gita chanting competition was conducted on 10th November

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET

Annual Sports Meet was conducted from 13th


Nov 2021 to 14th Nov 2021. The Sports meet was
inaugurated by Shri. Besing Tatin ZPM Rani,
Sille East Siang District Arunachal Pradesh. The
two days event includes lots of sports and
games activities for the students. The
competition was held under three categories -
Sub Junior, Junior and Senior for both boys and
girls. The sports meet comprised both group
events and individual events. The group events included Football, Volleyball,
Kho-Kho, the Rellay race,etc and many individual events. Students of all four
houses viz Laxmi, Maharana, Eknath and Jai Swami participated enthusislly
and with sportsman spirit. Along with sports meet, there is Mallakhamba
Demonstration Ashna by School students in the school playground.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

The theme for World Children's Day 2021 is to help children to recover from
interruptions and learning losses experienced through the pandemic in the
last two years. After the death of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, a resolution was
passed in the Indian Parliament to mark the birth anniversary of the first
Prime Minister of India as Children's Day. It was done because he was very
popular among the kids and address him as Chacha Nehru. Children's Day is
celebrated all across India on November 14 Every year, adorably referred to
as Chacha Nehru. Nehru was a great advocate for children’s rights and for
an all-inclusive education system where knowledge is accessible to all. He
believed that children are the future of the country and the foundation of a
society, and hence, everyone’s well-being should be taken care of. Apart
from Nehru’s birth anniversary, children’s day is also celebrated to raise

awareness on children’s education, rights and to see that proper care is


accessible to all. “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow,” said
Jawaharlal Nehru.Children’s Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm in VKV
Oyan all the students participated in the program of Children’s day. Various
types of indoor games conducted among the hostel students. They
participated in the program full of joy and enjoyed the program. For the
encouragement of students, some awards were felicitated like best Social
Service, Best in Dressing, Best in Games, Best Hostel Leader Showing
excellence in Terms and written examination.

SADHANA DIVAS

Sadhana Divas Observed on 19 November –


Ekanathji Jayanti. Remembering the founder of
Vivekananda Kendra, studying his vision, and
rededicating ourselves to the mission of Nation
Building.The celebration started from 5:30 p.m.
to 8.00 p.m.at the school Prayer Hall. The
program started with lighting the lamp by the
Principal, followed by Mangalacharan. Welcome
speech delivered by principal sir of VKV Oyan and the importance of the day
was delivered by Kr. Darchi Kena, student of VKV Oyan. Teachers and
Students offered flowers on the photo of Mananeeya Ekanathji Ranade.

On account of Sadhana Divas, quiz competition was conducted in school on


19th November 2021. The quiz competition is a objective types questions
comprised of various areas like Current Affairs, Arunachal Pradesh
Administration, Culture, Art, Religion,Geography of Arunachal Pradesh etc.
Sri. Rajiv Muang, Teacher, VKV Oyan was the overall in Incharge of the
competition.

GURU NANAK JAYANTI

Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Gurpurab, is


the most important festival for the followers of
the religion of Sikhism. It is celebrated to
commemorate the birth anniversary of the first
Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev, which falls on 19
November this year. The festival is celebrated on
the day of Kartik Poornima, which is the fifteenth
lunar day in the month of Kartik according to the Hindu calendar, and usually
falls in November by the Gregorian calendar.Sikh community is the fourth
largest religious population in India. It is the ninth-largest population in the
world. This is why Guru Nanak Jayanthi or Gurpurab is an important and
widely celebrated festival around the world. The entire festival teaches about
the universal God and equality. Guru Nanak Jayanti also celebrated in VKV
Oyan on the same day. Importance of the day was delivered by Kr. Bai
Bagang student of VKV Oyan.
NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK OBSERVATION

National Library Week is celebrated every


year from November 14th -20th in India as
declared by ILA (Indian Library Association).
Various programs were organized to let the
students know about the importance of
libraries and its use.

VKV Oyan celebrated national library week,


within this week various steps were taken like
showing Library collection, Quiz on General Knowledge, Drawing, Creative
writing among the students of the school within the library periods. Within
this day conducted Book Review in the morning Assembly of the school.
Students participated in the book review by narrating the summary of the
book which they have read. Book review encouraged the other students to
read more and more books as well as to know about the different types of
books present in the school library. Within the library periods librarian of the
school explain the importance of the library in the field of education and told
about how to search for a book in the library and how to develop reading
habits and its importance in our day-to-day life.

CELEBRATION OF DIWALI

Diwali is the festival of lights which signifies the victory of good over evil and
the eradication of dark shadows, negativity, and doubts from our lives. It is a
celebration of prosperity in which people give gifts to their loved ones. The
festival also sends the message of illuminating our inner selves with clarity
and positivity. Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is the biggest
festival celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, and Buddhists around the world. Diwali
symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and
knowledge over ignorance”. Furthermore, it is, in some regions, a celebration
of the day Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya with his wife Sita and
his brother Lakshmana after defeating Ravana in Lanka and serving 14 years
of exile. It was celebrated too in VKV Oyan on the same date, bhajan
performed in the prayer hall. All the students, teaching staff, as well as Non-
Teaching staff, attended the same. Overall in charge of the program was
Pinaki Roy sir.

VISIT OF VKVAA TEAM

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Alumni Association,visited VKV Oyan from


20th to 21st November 2021. During their school visit, elders of VKVAA had an
interactive session with the teaching staff and students of VKV Oyan. They
played a friendly volleyball match with VKV Oyan students and teachers,
visited the school campus and discussed about academic and non-academic
activities of the school and look into the various issues and problems of the
school.

SCIENCE SEMINAR 2021

The topic of the Seminar was


“BOOSTING OF IMMUNITY – THE NEED
OF THE HOUR: PROSPECT &
CHALLENGES”. The district- level
science seminar was conducted on 30th
November 2021 at Pasighat, DDSE
office. Kr. Ugyen Sharjo of our school
bagged the 1st position in the District in the state-level science seminar 2021.

TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM
FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVING” Project
under the Title of WILD FOOD PLANTS
OF ADI TRIBE OF EAST SIANG DISTRICT IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH. District
Level National Children’s Science Congress was conducted on 21 October
2021 at Pasighat, DDSE office.Team Leader: Kr. Katon Perme, Team
Members: Kr. Ito Naso & Kr. Ugyen Sharjo of our school bagged the 2nd
position in the District Level National Children’s Science Congress 2021.

VIDYARTHI VIGYAN MANTHAN (VVM)

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is an initiative of


Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with
Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization
under the Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India, and National Council of Educational
Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of
Education (earlier known as Ministry of Human Resources and Development).
VVM is a national program for popularizing science among school students of
standard VI to XI, conceptualized to identify the bright minds with a scientific
aptitude among the student community.

VKV Oyan students also participated in VVM Programme. From VKV


Oyan total number of 168 students participated, among 168 nos. 35 from
class VI, 27 from class VII, 33 from VIII, 40 from Class IX, and 33 from Class
X.
