Aim : The student will be able to demonstrate

 A knowledge of all phonetic symbols of the International Phonetic Alphabet
 Competency in using the International Phonetic Alphabet for phonetic transcription.
 Skill in transcribing normal speech fluently

Procedure: It is expected of the individual to make himself familiar with the


phonetic symbols and sounds before doing the activities.
