1. Research Question: Is there a significant difference in the length of service with their current
employer and their income?
2. Hypothesis
a. Ho: There is no significant difference in the length of service with their current employer
and their income
b. Ha: There is a significant difference in the length of service with their current employer
and their income
3. Select appropriate test: Use one way ANOVA
4. Let alpha level = 0.05
5. Decision Rule = If p < 0.05, reject Null Hypothesis
6. Run the test

Since p = .000 < .05, there is a significant difference in the length of service with their current employer
and their income. To determine which kind of post-hoc test to use, Levene’s test for homogeneity of
variances was performed. The result of this test is shown on Table 3.
Table 3: Result of the Levene’s Test for homogeneity of variances
Sig value of .000 < 0.05, it indicates that equal variances are not assumed. We will use Dunnett T3 data.

Less than 5 ≠ 5 to 15 (Mean difference is 18.79432, significant)
Less than 5 ≠ More than 15 (Mean difference 94.76962, significant)
5 to 15 ≠ more than 15 (mean difference 75.97529, significant)
7. State the conclusion: There is a significant difference in the length of service with their employer
and their income, F(2, 6397) = 1054.203, p < .05.
