The chart indicates the proportion of various cinema-goers in different age groups on a monthly
basis, recorded in one particular European country, over the period of 11 years from 2000 to
2011.
Overall, It could clearly be seen that there was a total boost in terms of attendance of all ages
over the period shown. In addition, the figure of adult audience remained lowest throughout
the time.
In the first five years, a high had been seen in the number of teenagers who came to the movie
monthly, rising from 15% in 2000 to approximately 30% in 2005. In 2000, the number of people
aged 25 to 35 and above were relatively the same, at 3% and 2% respectively. In 2005, the
figures for kid and young adult movie fans reached an equilibrium of nearly 11%.
In the final period, an upward trend continued to be recorded in adolescence sectors, reaching
the peak of 55% in 2010. While, that of young adults tended to fluctuate from 12% in 2006 to
25% in 2011. Finally, despite many changes, the rate of adults remained the lowest within 12%
throughout the given time.
