ABSTRACT

In today’s emerging tech world human life is getting

multiple services at doorstep right from online food
delivery to taxi booking through mobile
applications. People prefer services that have the
less interaction & everything on their smart device.

Taxi app development is one such service which

saves your time & cost by providing you user-
friendly apps in your mobile phones. Taxi apps cover
two major interfaces such as Passengers & but
visible Taxi drivers by making it easy to
communicate with both on the same phase.

If you will go through a basic cab booking app, you

will get the three important features for passengers
such as Payment methods, Order cab, offers & gift
vouchers as well to make it attractive & engaging
for them.

Apart from the above three feature Taxi app also

include ETA, real-time status, booking for someone
else, fare calculator, present location and so on.
In today’s busy world people ignore things which
are complicated and time-consuming. A quick, easy,
& comfortable application will result much better.

This project aimed at booking cabs using database

management systems, which makes it more user
friendly.

INTRODUCTION
The history of public vehicles for hire date back
hundreds of years, even before motor cars. The first
documented public Hackney Coach Service for hire
was in 1605 in London. By 1625, London innkeepers
hired out carriages. In 1635 in England, the Hackney
Carriage Act was passed as the first legislation to
cover hireable horse-drawn carriages in the country.
In 1636, the first London taxi rank appeared at the
Strand outside the Maypole Inn.

Hansom cabs were patented in 1834 by York

architect Joseph Hansom. They were two-wheeled
carriages drawn by horses and were much lighter
and faster than the Hackney carriages. They were
also cheaper to ride in. The Hansom cab soon
spread to Berlin, Paris, St Petersburg, and New York
City.
The taxi we know today is based on the taximeter,
which was originally invented in 1891 by German
Friedrich Wilhelm Gustav Bruhn. A taximeter is an
instrument which measures the time or distance a
vehicle travels. This allowed a fare to be determined
accurately.

The main objective of this python program is to

book taxi services easily also this is to reduce the
manual work and it reduces the pressure in
passengers. This project is to book cab ticket by
simply choosing the pickup and drop location and
choosing the type of car which the passenger would
like to travel. It also tracks the input and readily gives
the cost and distance calculated to the passengers. It
also prints various outputs as per the passengers
input.

INPUT AND VALIDATION OF PROJECT

1. All the fields are validated and do not take invalid

values.

2. Each form of bookings cannot accept blank values.

3. Avoiding errors in data.
4. Controlling amount of data.

NEED FOR COMPUTARISATION.

Over the decades computers and cab bookingshave

developed gradually, changed with time. But

nobody knew that a time will come when both these

fields will complement each other so well. Today cab

booking has reached new heights by computer

aided methods of design. As a result of which,

computer industry has got its new customer.

Computer technology is making waves in the flight

booking zone. Computers are a vital component of

the booking counters. Computer aided design

(CAD) programs reduce the demand for manual

sketches. New software programs continue to

replace old manual skills. Those who lag in math can

now breathe a little easier. Software programs

constantly evolve. Being trained on today's software

does not guarantee it will be used when you are

ready to go out into the field.
