MATERIALS: White (or color of your choice) size 10 Knit-Cro-Sheen, No. 7 steel

crochet hook.

RND 1: Work in continuous rnds, not joining, but marking each rnd as you work. Ch 2,

4 sc and 4 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook.

RND 2: This will be a "BUMP" rnd. "1 sc, {ch-2; sc in 2nd ch from hook [ch-2 bump]},

1 sc in the same sc as the last" in each of next 4 sc. "1 hdc, {ch-2; sc in 2nd ch from

hook [ch-2 bump]}, 1 hdc in the same hdc as the last" in each of next 4 hdc.

RND 3: Keeping the bumps to the right side of the work and making sure not to put any

stitches into the bumps, work 1 sc in each stitch around. (16 sc)

RND 4: This will be a "BUMP" rnd. "1 sc in next 2 sc's, ch-3, sc in 3rd ch from hook [ch-

3 bump], 1 sc in same sc as last sc. Work these bumps around to marker. (8 bumps)

RND 5: Keeping the bumps to the right side of the work and making sure not to put any

stitches into the bumps, work 1 sc in each stitch around. (24 sc)

RND 6: Work 1 sc in each sc around to marker. (24 sc)

ROw 7: NOTE: YOU WILL NOW WORK IN ROWS THROUGH TO 15 THEN YOU

WILL WORK IN ONE MORE RND. Ch 1, turn, work 2 sc in the first sc, 1 sc in each sc

except the last sc, 2 sc in the last sc. (26 sc)

ROW 8: Ch 1, turn, work 2 sc in the first sc, then work across in 1 sc, 1 sc dec except the
last sc, 2 sc in the last sc.

ROW 9: Ch 1, turn, work 2 sc in the first sc, 1 sc in each sc across.

ROW 10: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each sc except the last sc, 2 sc in last sc.

ROW 11: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each sc across.

ROW 12: Ch 1, turn, work 1 sc, 1 sc dec across.

ROW 13: Repeat 12 except work 2 sc in the last sc.

ROW14: Repeat 12 except work 1 sc in the last sc.

RND 15: NOTE: Work in a rnd again. Catch thread through sc on the other side so you

can work in a rnd again. Work sc dec's around.

ROW 16: NOTE: THIS ROW WILL BE WORKED UP THE ONE OPEN SIDE OF

THE SHELL; MAKING THE CURLED LIP OF THE SHELL. Work 1 sc - 1 hdc in the

first opening; 2 hdc in the next opening; 2 dc in the next opening; 2 tr in the next 4

openings; 2 dc in the next opening; 1 hdc -1 sc in the opening under the bump. Leaving

enough thread to weave in the end, break off. Stuff and shape.

8 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

RND 2: This will be a "BUMP" rnd. "1 sc, {ch-2; sc in 2nd ch from hook, [ch-2 bump]1

sc in the same sc as the last sc}”, around to the marker. (16 sc, 8 bumps).

RND 3: Keeping the bumps to the right side of the work and making sure not to put any

stitches into the bumps, work 1 sc in each sc around to the marker. (16 sc)

RND 4: "1 sc in each of next 2 sc, ch-2; sc in 2nd ch from hook {bump}, 1 sc in the

same sc as the last sc", around to the marker. (24 sc, 8 bumps)

RND 5: Keeping the bumps to the right side of the work and making sure not to put any

stitches into the bumps, work 1 sc in each sc in each sc around to the marker. (24 sc)

RND 6: 1 sc in each sc around to the marker.(24 sc)

ROW 7: NOTE: YOU WILL NOW WORK IN ROWS THROUGH TO 13, THEN YOU

WILL WORK IN RNDS AGAIN. ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each of next 24 sc.

ROW 8: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc then 1 sc dec across.

ROW 9: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each sc across. (16 sc)

ROW 10: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc then 1 sc dec across.

ROW 11: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each sc across.

ROW 12: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc then 1 sc dec across.

RND 13: NOTE: WORK IN RNDS AGAIN. Catch thread through sc on the other side
so you can work in rnds now. 1 sc in each sc around.

RND 14: Work sc dec around. NOTE: You can break off here........or.......continue with

the next row.

ROW 15: NOTE: THIS ROW WILL BE WORKED UP THE ONE OPEN SIDE OF
THE SHELL MAKING THE CURLED LIP OF THE SHELL. Working along one open
side of shell, 1 sc and 1 hdc in first sp, 2 dc in next sp, 2 tr in each of next 3 sps, 2 dc in
next sp, 1 hdc and 1 sc in next sp. Leave enough thread to weave in the end and Break
off. Stuff and shape.
