she is assisted to the bathroom again by her nurse. At 3:45 a.m., Mrs. R. is found on the floor and
is complaining of severe pain in her right hip. Three of the side rails are up at this time. An X-ray
confirms that Mrs. R. has sustained a fractured hip. During surgery to repair the hip fracture, Mrs.
R. has a stroke and suffers brain damage. She was the administrator of a large textile company
