LANCE
Science is a way of discovering what's in the
universe and how those things work today, how they
worked in the past, and how they are likely to work
in the future.

DWEN
Science is the study of the nature and behaviour
of natural things and the knowledge that we obtain
about them. It is a
systematized knowledge derived from observation,
study, and experimentation carried on in order
to determine the nature or principles of what is being
studied.

LANCE
Welcome! to the Merry Child School Science Day
Celebration
DWEN
With its theme: Agham, Pananaliksik, at
Teknolohiya: Kabalikat sa Matatag at maunlad na
Pamayanan. I am Dr. Dwen together with Dr. Lance
and we will be your host for today.

LANCE
Here are some reminders before we start the event.
Share our event to your friends and loved one’s.
and Refrain from committing any bad and unwanted
messages.

DWEN
We will start the event with an Opening Prayer to be
led by Kyna Joceth Palatan.
followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
Then let us hear the Opening Remarks from our
very own school principal, Mrs. Ma. Isabelle C.
Salcedo. Dr. Lance and I will be reading the criteria
for each competion

READING OF CRITERIA

DWEN
To start our first competition we will witness the
intelligence of our young learners in the 3rd to 6th
Grade for the Science Quiz Bee. The competition
will be divided in to two parts. First will be for Grades
3-4 follwed by the Grades 5-6.

LANCE
Like learning to count or to read, learning how to do
science is a lifelong process. So at a very young
age, from the basic parts of the body to the kinds of
animals we see, children are taught about the study
of life and how science plays a big role in our
everyday lives.

DWEN
Let us all witness our young scientist on the battle of
intelligence in Science Quiz Bee for the 3rd and 4th
Grade and later on we will watch some fun trivia
about science altogether. So, let games begin!

QUIZ BEE
GRADE 3-6

LANCE
Wow our young learners are now turning into
sceintist! Truely they are very intelligent when it
comes to science. I guess we aal know what is their
favorite subject. Congratulations to all the winners.
DWEN
That’s right Dr. Lance! Because at a young age our
students are already taught great concepts in their
science subject. Now every child has a dream of
taking the world as their stage and achieving great
things. We don’t know what the future holds for our
young learners. They might becomne the next Albert
Einstein.

LANCE
Let us all witness our very smart and cute pupils in
their Little Scientist Competiion.

LITTLE SCIENTIST COMPETION

DWEN
Now we can deffinitley see that these pupils will
achieve great things in the future. You can just look
how adorabe they look in their little scientist
costumes.
LANCE
You are very much correct Dr. Dwen. These little
scientist will really go a long way. They will become
our future’s agents of change. And who knows one
might be the next Albert Einstein.
Science is full of fun facts and information, that’s
why it defined as a systematized body of knowledge.
We learn many differrnt things everyday through
science.

DWEN
For our next competition, let’s see how well did our
students learn te concepts science. Let’s get to
watch and learn fun fact and trivias about the world
of science on our Science Trivia Competition by the
4th-6th grade students.

SCIENCE TRIVIA COMPETITION

LANCE
I know as a Doctor it is really hard to learn all the
concepts in science but for our students everything
was really easy as they give fun trivias about
science.
DWEN
Deffinielty Dr. Lance! I myself had a very hard time
back in the days in learning the subject itself. Wow
our students are really amazing.
Now let’s move on to our next competition. Earlier
we witnessed our students from Grade 3-6 in thier
battle of intelligence and incorporating their
knowldege in the Quiz Bee. And now it is time for
the High School and Senior High School students to
prove their merit and brilliance.

LANCE
Science can be thought of as both a body of
knowledge, the things we have already discovered,
and the process of acquiring new knowledge
through observation and experimentation. So now it
is time for our High school and Senior High School
students to battle it of in the Quiz Bee. So let trhe
games begin!

GRADE 7-9 and Grade 10-12

Pheww! That was a very nerve racking and mind
blowing competition. But as you all so our students
once again proven their brilliance and wit in science.

Congratulations to all the winners.

LANCE
True to that Dr. Dwen, the students exceeded the
expectation of the when it comes ot science.

Now Dr. Dwen I will tell you a story of my first ever

DWEN
Yes Dr. Lance, I can also prove how caring doctors
can be. Because when I was young I always get
admitted to the hospital because of always being
sick and weak. And their is always that feeling of
being scared and nervous when going to the
hospital. But when the doctor comes they comfort
me, and my fear would go away.

LANCE
Now let’s go and watch our Grade 7 and 8 students
in their portryal of being a Medical Doctor in the
Batang Pinoy MD Competition. Let’s watch this.

LANCE
So their goes our future doctors!
Dr. Dwen I have a question.
What is your favorate field to study in science?

DWEN
Well my favorite field to study is actually biology and
Zoology. But I also prefer Chemistry.

LANCE
Oh so you like chemistry? Just like us, we have
Chemistry. But kidding a side, another great thing
about science is discovering new knowlegde through
experimentation. That is what we will witness next
from oour Grade 9 and 10 students in their Mix and
Match Experiments Competition.
