Let us start our virtual e-orientation with our Phil National Anthem.
To formally commence our orientation, let us seek guidance first from our Almighty God to
prepare us from the series of matters and concerns to be discussed this morning. We would like
to invite Prof. Josephine O. Salatandre to invoke an opening prayer for us.

Good day Future Educators and Faculty Members! Welcome to the Virtual E-Orientation
Program for English Major Students! I am Diane Indicio, and Antonette Antang, your Masters
of Ceremony.
For the next 3 hours, this virtual e-orientation is going to provide us meaningful information
regarding our academic experiences as we conclude our first semester and this orientation will
also help us to lead with a strong start in our second semester.
This virtual e-orientation will be covering a lot of information so we encourage you to take note
of your questions you wish to discuss with our professors.
Here is an overview of the agenda for this orientation that will be discussed:
- Feedback and Challenges of English Major Students experienced during the first semester
IV. Seven (7) Grade Marks/ Applicable University/ College Processes/ Enrollment Process
(Antonette)
Thank you very much Prof. Macaballug for giving a warm welcome and inspiring messages to
everyone. May we have a prepared mind and heart to the matters and concerns to be imparted by
our professors this morning, one of these is the concern about the grades. This concluding
semester, some of you might be wondering why you got a grade of 7. What does it mean if you
receive a grade of 7? How is it different from INC? How are you going to comply and reach out
to you professors? And as we are about to open the second semester of this academic year, we
might still want to be more guided with the enrollment process and the applicable
university/college processes. For us to be well-oriented by all of these concerns, it is my pleasure
to introduce our hardworking Department Head, Prof. Guillermo Miguel O. Ochoa to discuss
these matters to us.
Our first semester is truly challenging as we cope with the changes brought by the pandemic.
However, the fact that you are here, we are here today, is a proof that we are still in the race in
achieving our dreams. At this juncture, to talk about Feedback and Challenges in our Concluding
Semester, let us welcome, Prof. Marika Yamin M. Aniag.
Thank you very much Prof. Aniag and to everyone for sharing feedbacks and the challenges that
you faced last semester. Indeed, the COVID-19 pandemic has abruptly changed and affected
education systems worldwide and brought numerous challenges to everyone. Despite all of these,
we were able to adjust, adapt, and rise from the situations that recently and currently challenging
everyone. And speaking of challenges, one of the challenges that my fellow third year students
and I deal with last semester was our language research. Thankfully, everyone survived, but the
game is not over. We will have the continuation of our research this semester. Ladies and
gentlemen, please join me in welcoming Professor Lynn M. Besa to deliver relevant information,
status, and updates about our thesis to be fully furnish this semester.
Now, we have come to the part of our orientation where we can address other matters/concerns.
Here is our SEEDS Adviser, Dr. Susan S. Dominguez.
VIII. Closing Remarks (Antonette)
Thank you everyone for sharing with us these important reminders and concerns. I hope that we
are all informed, enlightened and updated to all the matters that will help us prepare and focus on
greater commitments and responsibilities this coming semester. To wrap up the formal portion of
our virtual orientation, let us hear her closing message, it is with great honor to introduce Prof.
Jodezza L. Caday.
