The brain controls our thoughts, feelings, and behavior. It regulates basic functions like breathing, moving, memory, speech, and more. The brain is made up of different parts that each specialize in different functions. The cerebral cortex contains four main lobes - frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital - which are responsible for functions like thinking, touch, hearing/language, and vision respectively. The development of the brain continues into early adulthood, and adolescent brains are more guided by emotional areas than logical thinking areas, though they can still make good decisions. There are simple ways to train the brain like learning new things, using your memory, eating well, and getting enough sleep.
