Directions: Create a hypothetical scenario regarding civil

liberties. Your scenario should be clearly tied to one of the
amendments found in the Bill of Rights. You must also
1. Examine the amendment, the scenario involves the
violation of one of the rights found in 1st ten amendments.
2. List which of the required Supreme Court cases that
relates to your case
3. Clarify which amendment applies to this case
4. Finally, put a link to a different case that deals with the
same constitutional issue.

● Fictional Scenario:
Create a fake example of a legal case that would
include one of the first ten amendments. We will
create an example in class.

Directions: Students will create an additional

video/presentation or write paragraph that analyzes
why it's important for the average citizen to be aware
and informed of all of these cases and the
amendments they are tied to. Present an argument as to
why one of the Supreme Court cases discussed in class
should have been decided in favor of the losing side.
Questions to consider:
● What are the benefits of knowing your rights?
● What are the benefits of being familiar with these
Supreme Court cases?
● How do you see yourself finding use of this
information?

For advanced (required):

● Which case are you going to analyze?
● Why should the case have sided in favor of the
loser?
● How might this case have been different if it
happened with the current Supreme Court? (6-3
Republican- Democrat).

Please provide a link to your presentation or video here:
