USAGE
The Workstation laptop is intended for designers, engineers, or architects, that use
Computer-Aided Software/Design programs (CAD), Building Information Modelling Softwares
(BIMS), and advanced mathematical analysis and interpretation.

USER INTERFACE

1 Display
An IPS-level Display panel up to 240Hz/3ms with 100% sRGB. With Adaptive-Sync, the
display’s refresh rate synchronizes

with the GPU’s frame rate to reduce lag, minimize stuttering, and eliminate visual tearing.

2 Air vents
allowing cool air to Circulate the components to control the standard operating temperature of
the Device

3 Keyboard
The desktop-style layout features spaces between function keys for intuitive identification and
hotkeys to keep vital commands within easy reach. A travel distance of 1.7mm allows for
effortless keystrokes.

Allows the use of multi-gesture and to navigate the mouse cursor to the screen.

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF LAPTOP:
OPERATING SYSTEM INITIAL SETUP:
Windows 10 is the recommended operating system for this laptop and with its prebuilt OS, the
user may be able to fully utilize the system with the following steps:

1. Turn on the computer until the Windows Setup appears.


2. Choose your personal preferences in the options that are shown.
3. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions of usage.
4. Wait until your laptop fully reboots and welcomes you to the desktop screen

RUNNING THE PC USING THE WINDOWS BUTTON:

You may freely use your computer with some of these common tasks:
● Use prebuilt Windows applications
● Adjust Windows Preferences in the settings menu
● Update cloud-enabled systematics

RUNNING THE PC USING THE QUICK ACTIONS SETTINGS:

You may add quick actions for faster access in your quick actions settings in the rightmost part
of your taskbar:
1. Click the Pencil Icon
2. Start adding your favorite settings and actions.

USING THE PC FOR COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN SOFTWARE:

1. SPEEDING UP BEFORE DESIGNING

a. Click CTRL-ALT-DEL on your keyboard.


b. On the Tab Panel, click on the startup tab.
c. Right-click on the applications that run in the background.
d. Click Disable to stop them from running while using CAD applications.

2. DISABLING WINDOWS BACKGROUND APPLICATIONS


a. Click WINDOWS BUTTON on your keyboard.
b. Search for Notifications and Action Settings and click the resulting app.
c. Disable the notifications presented.

3. CLEANING EXCESS RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY

a. Click WINDOWS BUTTON-R at the same time.


b. Type in temp and hit ENTER.
c. Click any file in the folder.
d. Press CTRL-A on your keyboard and delete.
e. Click WINDOWS BUTTON-R at the same time again.
f. Type in %temp% and hit ENTER.
g. Click any file in the folder.
h. Press CTRL-A on your keyboard and delete.

4. DISABLING WINDOWS SERVICES

a. Click WINDOWS BUTTON-R at the same time.


b. Type in MSConfig and hit ENTER.
c. Tick the “Hide all Microsoft services” box.
d. Uncheck all unimportant files that may disrupt CPU and GPU usage while using
the CAD software.

5. CHANGING THE WINDOWS THEME

a. Click WINDOWS BUTTON on your keyboard.


b. Search for THEMES and click the resulting app.
c. Click Colors
d. Slide-off the TRANSPARENCY EFFECTS.

6. OPTIMIZING THE POWER PLAN

a. Click WINDOWS BUTTON on your keyboard.


b. Search for EDIT POWER PLAN and click the resulting app.
c. Click CHANGE ADVANCED POWER SETTINGS

d. Scroll down
e. Click the plus button on the left side of the PROCESSOR POWER
MANAGEMENT
f. Set the values of ON BATTERY AND PLUGGED IN to 0%
g. Scroll down
h. Click the plus button on the left side of the MAXIMUM PROCESSOR STATE
i. Set the values of ON BATTERY AND PLUGGED IN to 100%.
j. Click Apply then OK

7. DELETING TEMPORARY READ-ONLY MEMORY

a. Click WINDOWS BUTTON on your keyboard.


b. Search for STORAGE SENSE and click the resulting app.
c. Slide-on the STORAGE SENSE BUTTON.

8. CLEANING DISK

a. Click WINDOWS BUTTON on your keyboard.


b. Search for DISK CLEANUP and click the resulting app.
c. Tick the box for the following:
i. TEMPORARY FILES
ii. THUMBNAILS
iii. DOWNLOADED PROGRAM FILES
iv. TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES
d. Click OK

9. MANAGING PRIVACY SETTINGS

a. Click WINDOWS BUTTON on your keyboard.


b. Search for PRIVACY SETTINGS and click the resulting app.
c. Uncheck the following slide boxes:
i. Location
ii. Camera
iii. Background applications
iv. Game bar

DOWNLOADING AND USING THE CAD AND BIM SOFTWARE

Prehandedly, the workstation laptop does not include the software as they are to be purchased
legally from the manufacturers. With this, the user must be responsible for its usage and
licensing. The following are steps in downloading the application:

1. Go to the Website of the BIM/CAD manufacturer.


2. Download all the files with a quick scan of WINDOWS DEFENDER
3. UnZIP all the necessary ZIPped folders.
4. Read the ReadME installation guides of the product.
5. Click on the installer or installation wizard.
6. Follow the instructions.
7. Accept any privacy setting and data accumulation process pre, during, and post-use of
application.
8. Restart your computer.

9. Start your program.

TROUBLESHOOTING
This laptop is equipped with advanced artificial intelligence that detects all its malfunctions at
any time. It also includes how and what to repair for its problems. Follow the steps required:

1. Search MyASUS in the WINDOWS MENU and click the application.

2. Click Customer Support

3. Click your problem and the computer will analyze it for you.

4. If your problem is not solved, click the CONTACT ASUS button on the top-right side of
your screen.
5. Click the following information about your laptop and an online customer service
assistant will help you 24/7.

SAFETY PRECAUTION

It has a rating label on the bottom of the device, and make


sure that your power adaptor should be ensured to
complies with the rating

While using and charging the battery pack, your laptop can
get warm to hot. Avoid using it near your body parts to
prevent injury from heat and avoid blocking the vents'
surface.

Don’t use damaged power chords (wires), accessories,


and other damaged equipment

While it is turning on, ensure do not cover any surface of


your device that can reduce air circulation

Do not let your device be placed in an unstable workplace
or on an uneven work surface.

It can be scanned through x-ray machines but don’t let it


expose to magnetic detectors and wands.

MAINTENANCE

In cleaning your laptop, disconnect the Ac power and


remove the battery supply pack (if it is applicable). Use
proper equipment by using a clean cellulose sponge or
other clean cloth with a substance of nonabrasive
detergent with a mix of a few drops of water. To the
keyboard surface use a dry cloth to keep any liquids from
entering the chassis, to prevent corrosion.

Prevent using a strong solvent or another chemical near


your laptop

Do not place any substance or object on top of your laptop

Prevent exposing your laptop to strong electrical or


magnetic fields

Prevent using your laptop while exposed to rains, moisture,
and other liquids.

electromagnetic wave interference to the present panel

activities
