Simulation of 16QAM and 64QAM Modulator and Demodulator in Simulink

This document summarizes the results of a simulation experiment comparing the bit error rate (BER) of different digital modulation techniques at varying signal-to-noise ratios (Eb/No). It includes tables and graphs showing the relationship between Eb/No and BER for 16QAM and 64QAM modulation. A concluding table summarizes the BER for BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK, 16QAM and 64QAM across a range of Eb/No values, showing that higher order modulations have higher BER and the BER decreases as Eb/No increases for all techniques.

EB/NO.

Figure1 Eb/No. vs BER in 16QAM

From the table and the graph that was produced, it is seen that as the Eb/No. increase the
Bits Error Rate (BER) decreases. From this, it is concluded that the relationship of Eb/No is
inversely proportional to BER.

Figure2 BER vs EB/No in 64QAM

From the table and the graph that was produced, it is seen that as the Eb/No. increase the
Bits Error Rate (BER) decreases. From this, it is concluded that the relationship of Eb/No is
inversely proportional to BER in the 64QAM.
