Human beings as we are, we always want to do so many things, but it is proven that
many times we failed do beyond our limits. This means that we are not equipped with the best
physical attributes among all the beings in the world. However, it always possible to surpass our
limits. Surpassing our limits is called transcendence. This is one important trait that
distinguishes the human person from other beings in existence.

Learning Competency:
1. Recognize how the human body imposes limits and possibilities for transcendence
2. Evaluate own limitations and the possibilities for their transcendence

Explore your abilities and limitations. Copy the table below. In the “I Can” column, write
down the skills and abilities that define you as a person. In the “I Cannot” column, list down
the things you have tried to do but could not because of your personal limitations.
