ANALYSIS
ACTIVITY NO. 1
Listed above are the 16 areas of personal development that are discussed in the
STUDY phase. Take a few moments to choose five that you are most inclined to work
on yourself.
Volunteering, social capital, leisure time and hobbies, self- compassion and life long
learning
What led you to our choices?
Personal interest and I think that these 5 areas will really help me to develop
since I like helping out to other people and I want to improve my social skill and
also to lean time on myself also.
How might you focus more on that area? Provide three specific actions you can
take to make progress in this area.
o Volunteering-
I would like to volunteer in any charity works. I once experienced
going to an orphanage and place for old people and want to
experience it again. I enjoyed helping them eat, talking to them and
listening to their stories. It’s so fulfilling when you see them happy.
Participate in donation drives
Tutor children. When I was young we tend to play “teacher
teacheran” and that’s when I realized that I like teaching and on 10
grade and senior high I became a tutor and seeing and knowing
that the improve makes me happy.
o Social capital

Join in organizations and participate actively especially in
discourse.
o Leisure time and hobbies

IO- G1A (SELF- DISCOVERY)
I’ll try to be nicer and patient with myself
Look at my problems and failures in the bright side, instead of
dealing with it negativity I’ll think of it as a way of God to teach me
something
Think any hardships and failures
o Life-long learning
Study on areas that will benefit me in the future
Focus more on my academics than other unnecessary stuffs
Look for inspiration and research more on the course that I am
taking and also engage myself in medicine stuffs
In what ways will those areas of Personal Development enhance your potential
and over-all quality of life?
The areas I chose are close to me personally that I know would do impact in
myself because aside from I want myself to develop those areas covers the
things that I want to do and appreciate, by doing that I know it would leave
something in me. The experience I will have in those areas will help me to get
fully closer to myself, to appreciate the things I do as well as other people and
improve the quality of the life I am living right now. Having areas you want to
focus on makes you more motivated to wake up because you anticipate
something that you will do especially if it’s something that moves you.

There’s no external factors that hinders me, it’s When I finally got to trust myself, as the date of

INSTRUCTIONS: Below are the different life areas under Personal Development. Provide your
answers in the following questions below for each area in the Life Assessment Worksheet.
Controversial life
PROCESSING QUESTIONS
From the activities I learned that knowing yourself is a step closer to personal growth.
When you know what makes you feel fulfilled, what makes you happy it gives you
motivation to do things even if It’s outside your comfort zone. Growth happens in time, it
requires process and there are areas under personal development that we can actually
do to help us grow socially, emotionally, mentally and physically. Personal development
makes us live productively because when we seek for growth we don’t just sit around
and wait for things to happen, we commit ourselves and we do specific actions that will
help us grow. It’s important that we know what we love to do and what makes us
satisfied with our lives because this will be the root of all the actions that we’ll make.
Also, I learned that its important that we have a clear vision of why are we doing things,
because life happens and one day you might find yourself asking the question”why am I
doing this” so it’s really important to know our purpose, our why’s because that will also
drives us to personal development.
2. What do you think are the factors that contribute to the positive development of your self-
esteem?
Factors that contributes to positive development of my self-esteem may come from
internal or external factors. Internal factors because it’s my own self therefore its affected
on how I view myself, my mindset, the thing that keeps me going and such. Also external
factors like my friends, families and those who support and encourage me. Their words
can do a lot to me.
3. What areas in the Life Assessment Worksheet are most important to you? Explain why.
Family, education, health, work and finances. Family because it is the foundation of
every person, having healthy family is important in ones life it’s good that you have a
support system than you can come home when life hits you hard sometimes. Second is
education. Education is in line with areas of work and finances. It’s important for us to
be educated not just academically but also in dealing with life in general. Next is work,
for some education has been a requirement to have a job so the two are connected.
Having healthy work will secure you in life and this is where finances comes. Its
important for us to be money-wise, to handle our expenses well, to be indebted as much
as possible, to be responsible and discipline. And another important area for me is
health. They say health is wealth, you can’t accomplish something when your health is
deteriorating, so it is a must for us to take good care of our health and although there are
IO- G1A (SELF- DISCOVERY)
really days where you have to choose school or work or other situations over your
health, let us still take time to have time for ourselves and rest.
4. What are the steps that you are engaging to improve the quality of your life and your
personal growth?
I’m trying to divert my attention to what is more important. I’m also focusing more on
myself, I’m in the process of knowing myself better and what makes feel self-fulfilled.
And I’m trying my best to engage in productivity and to try new things.
5. What specific areas in your life would like the most to develop and improve? Explain
why.
Self- compassion. I’ve been always hard to myself, I cannot appreciate the little things
that I can do and I tend to blame myself for everything that’s been happening around
me. I tend to look at myself negatively so I want to change it. I want to look at myself
positively to wake up in the morning feeling good about myself, despite the challenges
thrown at me I want to be able to look at it as opportunity to learn and grow. I think that
when I can finally master that, I will be more motivated to do specific actions to other
areas in life.
