This program prepares you for a career in the Industrial Management field. Topics such as supervision,
manufacturing methods, warehousing, distribution channels, purchasing procedures, suppliers relations, cost
analysis, performance analysis, total quality management, environmental regulations, occupational safety and health
regulations and the Department of Transportation regulations all are covered in this program.

What do graduates of the program do?

Graduates supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in all phases of a plant operation. Typically
reporting directly to plant operations managers, they prepare operation schedules and coordinate manufacturing
activities to ensure production and quality meet all specifications. Graduates oversee operations such as finance,
manufacturing, engineering, materials management, quality assurance and control, human resources, inventory
control and information systems.

The Industrial Management Specialist Certificate (41 total credit hours) can be completed in one year or complete the
Industrial Management degree (68 total credit hours) in two years.
You can earn your certificate in one year and if you decide you want to complete the degree, all your certificate
courses count toward your degree.
