SESTRIERE

The hottest and most feminine rose,


frivolous and almost unexpected for winter, wraps us
in this braided sweater. A garment evoking childhood
fantasies, the need of warmth on the skin,
the desire for joy and lightness.

Yarn: EIFFEL col. 2029 pink.

Knitting the back


Using n. 4,5 needles cast on 96 stitches and work in
Tubular for 2 rows, then continue in 1x1 Rib for 20
rows. Start working with n. 5,5 needles distributing the
Cable on all stitches, and considering the first and last
stitch as margin. At a total height of 26 cm (10,24 in.),
for the raglan, bind off at sides 4 stitches once then
start decreasing, inside the first and last 2 stitches, 1
stitch every 2 rows twice, then 2 stitches every 4 rows
12 times. At a total height of 54 cm (21,26 in.), bind off all
stitches for neckline.

Knitting right front


Using n. 4,5 needles cast on 96 stitches and work in
Tubular for 2 rows, then continue in 1x1 Rib for 20
rows. Start working with n. 5,5 needles distributing the
Cable on all stitches, and considering the first and last
stitch as margin. At a total height of 26 cm (10,24 in.), for
the raglan, bind off at sides 4 stitches once then start
decreasing, inside the first and last 2 stitches, 1 stitch
every 2 rows twice, then 2 stitches every 4 rows 12
times. Simultaneously, at a total height of 43 cm (16,93
in.), for the neckline, bind off the 24 central stitches and
continue binding off at the side of neck, 1 stitch every
2 rows 6 times.

Sleeves
Using n. 4,5 needles cast on 44 stitches and work in Tubular for 2 rows, then
continue in 1x1 Rib for 20 rows. Start working with n. 5,5 needles distributing
the Cable on all stitches, and considering the first and last stitch as margin.
At a total height of 13 cm (5,12 in.), start increasing at sides 1 stitch every 4
rows 11 times. At a total height of 36 cm (14,17 in.), for the raglan, bind off at
sides 3 stitches once then start decreasing, inside the first and last 2 stitches,
2 stitch every 4 rows 12 times. At a total height of 69 cm (27,16 in.), bind off the
remaining stitches. Make other sleeve as first one.

Finishing
Sew the shoulders, hips, underarms and apply the sleeves.
For the neck, with n. 4,5 circular needle, pick up the stitches of right raglan,
back neckline, left raglan, front neckline (114 stitches in total), and work in 1x1
Rib for 10 rows, then make 2 rows in Tubular, and bind off in Tubular with a
needle.
