Commission of Pakistan for the dissemination to our members, in respect to the process of
Registration for NADRA Verisys/Biometric facility by SECP regulated entities.

 I N T RO D U C T I O N

NADRA is one of the leading System Integrators in the global identification sector and boasts
extensive experience in designing, implementing and operating solutions for corporate and public
sector clients. NADRA offers its clients a portfolio of customizable solutions for identification,
e- governance and secure documents. NADRA has successfully implemented the Multi-
Biometric National Identity Card & Multi-Biometric e-Passport solutions for Pakistan, Passport
Issuing System for Kenya, Bangladesh High Security Driver’s License, and Civil Registration
Management System for Sudan amongst other projects.

DESCRIPTION

With the strong will and absolute commitment, Government of Pakistan has planned to provide
citizens public services that are safe, secure, accessible and seamless. Government wants to
engage and involve the public in what it does, so that the outcomes are better and it is also more
satisfying both for the citizens and the public.

The purpose of the government is to facilitate its community to work liberally in trustworthy
environment. In order to establish improved and prosperous working environment for
organization NADRA has provided a solution for online identification of individuals called
Verification System E-VeriSys. This system can authenticate and verify identity documents like
Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC) and National Identity Card for Overseas
Pakistani’s (NICOP). NADRA took initiative of developing Identity document verification due
to prevailing law and order situation and to curb the menace of identity theft.

BU S I N E S S O B J E C T I V E S

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) was created to develop a refined
database of the entire population of Pakistan, in order to assist and facilitate good governance by
providing a platform for planning activities of all the public and private sector. In this era of
technology advancement, virtually all institutions have long been awaiting for an online
application to verify customer’s identity, in an efficient and cost effective manner.

The software development team of NADRA has developed an online verification system called
E-VERISYS. This system can authenticate and verify Computerized National Identification
Cards (CNIC). The E-VeriSys database is CNIC centric and E-Verisys will allow organizations to
positively establish their customer’s identities through web. This system has the uniqueness to be
the only product, which enables a user to have access to NADRA live database and get officially
authentic information.

National Identity Card – (CNIC) E-Verisys:

NADRA took initiative of developing Computerized Identity Card due to prevailing law and
order situation and to curb the menace of identity theft. The old manual National Identity Card
(NIC) was the sole document which authenticated/verified the identity of an individual but the
acquisition of a fake card was quite possible as the system was infected by corruption and
malpractices.

CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) is the core product of NADRA issued to a valid/
legitimate citizen of Pakistan. It is a blend of state-of-the-art technology and well-defined
business rules to guarantee its authenticity and validity. “E-VERISYS” verification would be
done in real time communication with Nadra’s National Data Warehouse.

Requirements for provisioning of E-VeriSys are as follows:

• An on line PC (Personal Computer) with Internet of Minimum Speed 256 Mbps.

• Basic documentation required

o Copy of NOC from Ministry of Interior.( only for Security Agencies)Copy

o Registration License from Home Department. .( only for Security Agencies)
o Certificate of Incorporation. (For Private companies)
o Copy of CNIC.
o Request for Provision of E-Verisys on Company letterhead/ with Company
Stamp.
o Customer Details form with proper detail with Company Stamp.
o Form-29. (For Private companies)
o Form-A. (For Private companies)
o Memorandum of Article and Association. (For Private companies)
 o Company Profile.
o The Chief Commissioner Letter. .( only for Security Agencies)

o License for provinces and Capital Territory. .( only for Security Agencies)

H OW E - V E R I S Y S H E L P S YO U ?

The online Verification System is an effective system, which provides Front and Reverse image
of the CNIC/NICOP/POC.

E-Verisys, upon entering ID card number and respective issuance date, provides the information
of that CNIC and helps to get updated information directly from NADRA. The verified
information will be provided with the time stamp and shall stand valid for that specific moment
in time.

H OW TO U S E E - V E R I S Y S

Please provide all requested documents and sign the contract for provision of service. It is
mandatory for an E-Verisys user to register on NADRA Pak Identity Portal individually. The
created User ID will be linked-up with the corporate Account of E-Verisys Service with NADRA.
The company will provide the information of E-Verisys user id’s which needs to be linked with
its corporate account to NADRA. NADRA will activate the created account accordingly

C O S T I N G A N D BU D G E T I N G

E-Verisys:

1 Private Sector (Per Transaction) Rs. 35/=

2 Installation set up charges (one time) per site Rs. 5000/=

Invoices:

NADRA will raise an invoice on monthly basis for the verification done during the month. The
invoice will be due after 30 days of the date of issuance of invoice.
Payment Method:

All payments will be made through a bank draft or cheque in the name of National Database
and Registration Authority.
