Question and Problem:


How to install forticlient VPN?

Prerequisite software/hardware:
FortiClientSetup_6.0.9.0277 for windows 32bit
FortiClientSetup_6.0.9.0277_x64 for windows 64bit
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft Windows 8, 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)
FortiClient 6.0.9 does not support Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista.

FortiClientSetup_5.2.0.0591.exe for windows xp and vista 32bit


FortiClientSetup_5.2.0.0591_x64.exe for windows xp and vista 64bit

forticlient_6.0.0.0029_amd64.deb for linux


forticlient_6.0.0.0029_x86_64.rpm for linux

Important Notes:
 Need username and password VPN
 Make sure that protocols TLS1.1 and TLS 1.2 are enabled on the host OS. Go to :
Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced >Security
and check : Use TLS 1.1 , Use TLS 1.2

1. Download the offline / online installer forticlient

2. Install Forticlient

 Run the forticlient installer


 Check : Yes, I have read and accept the License Agreement
 Click Next

 Check Secure Remote Access Only


 Click Next

 Choose Locations for install
 Click Next

 Click Install
 Click Finish

3. Setup Forticlient VPN

 Run the forticlient application


 Choose Remote Access
 Click Configure VPN

 Choose SSLVPN on TOP


 Set the connection name
 Set the description
 Set the remote gateway to vpn3.wingscorp.com port 10443
 Choose : client certificate None
 Check do not warn invalid server certificate
 Press save
