    Instruction: Give your own understanding or interpretation of the following visual texts.

    Understanding and interpretation:


    Based on the image and text I see in this visual text provided, I can say that it describes
    the situation happens during the COVID-19 outbreak. In my own understanding and
    interpretation on this visual text, I can see that after the first wave of COVID-19, the
    second wave follow which is the bankruptcies. The person who stands and faces the
    first wave feels fear, while the sand represents those people who are hardheaded, who
    travels and go to some crowded places. Also, the sun has two meanings for me, it
    represents the highest people or government officials that are chaotic in criticizing each
    other to gain more attention and power despite of the situation we face, it could also
    represent as our hope that this pandemic will end sooner but it is vague. When the
    pandemic started, the government started to implement health protocols, lockdowns
    and quarantine in places where the cases are very high. Also, the health professionals
    started to inform us about the virus and the things to do to prevent infection from the
    virus, through mass media and other social media platforms. We started also to panic
    but others don’t mind it, they don’t believe that virus can kill many people, so, they
    continue their activities and not minding the virus is everywhere. After the first wave,
    most of those stubborn and hardheaded people died. This COVID-19 pandemic not just
    affect the people’s health and its livelihood sources, but also our economy, not just in
    our country but globally. The coronavirus has upended the business world. Many macro
    and micro businesses have been close, and because of that, many people are affected,
    some of the employees lost their jobs, people have no more source of income and that
    has a big impact to sustain their family needs. The less fortunate people are mostly
    affected and suffer more from hunger and poverty. The business world suffered from
    bankruptcies which affect the economy of the country and of the world. As the result,
    our country has so many debts from other country in order to sustain our daily needs,
    and help us to get up and be able to start again.

    Understanding and interpretation:


    In my own opinion, the fries represent as their wins or their best food among their menu.
    Because of their delicious fries, their company become famous. They share or serve it
    equally to their customer. Also, they imply to us that, sharing what we have to others will
    make us successful and happy, even if you’re only one then you share it to many
    people. After you help others, you may become famous, because those people who
    receive your help will be proud of you.

    Understanding and interpretation:


    Base on what see and observe in this photo, I can see the happiness, confidence,
    contentment, positivity, and authenticity in her eyes and genuine smile. Also, I can see
    in her hands her hard works, and what she does for a living. For me, it implies that we
    should be authentic, confident and contented on what and who we are, and with what
    we have, especially in our appearances and lifestyle even if we are not rich. We should
    not be ashamed on it, because we are created in the image and likeness of God, and
    He created us with purpose. Also, being authentic, confident and contented will make us
    not feel insecure to others. Being secure make us feel happy and positive in life, as long
    as we do not hurt and trampled or step on other people. No matter how difficult our life
    is, what and how we look even we have wrinkles and no more teeth, we should not
    forget to smile, be positive in life and happy, so as not to get sick easily. Be true to
    ourselves and to everyone to make us truly happy.
