2. f(x) = 5x2 – 3x + 7, if x = -2

Solution: 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = 5𝑥 2 − 3𝑥 + 7
𝑓(−2) = 5(−2)2 − 3 (−2) + 7
𝑓(−2) = 5(4) + 6 + 7
𝑓 (−2) = 20 + 6 + 7
𝑓(−2) = 26 + 7
𝑓(−2) = 33

3. f(x) = 2x3 – 2x2 + 3x -9, if x = 1

Solution: 𝑓(𝑥) = 2𝑥 3 – 2𝑥 2 + 3𝑥 − 9
𝑓 (1) = 2(1)3 − 2 (1)2 + 3(1) − 9
𝑓 (1) = 2(1) − 2 (1) + 3(1) − 9
𝑓 (1) = 2 − 2 + 3 − 9
