Listed below are the annual salaries for newly hired plant operators for a chemical

manufacturing company. The data shows that the average for the 12 salaries offered is $75,1956

while the maximum and minimum salaries are $81,655 and $67,956, respectively. There is no

mode for this data set since there is no number that repeats itself. The range (difference between

the maximum and minimum salaries) is $13,699. For this data set, the standard deviation is

$4,686, while the standard error is $1,353. The variance for this sample is 21962862. Finally,

the skewness for this data is -0.10 (skewed to the left), and the kurtosis is -1.44 (less extreme

than the normal distribution).
