How to open Global Protect using personal Computer

1. Register MFA Portal (Internet access required)


Navigate to the MFA Setup Portal and pick your work account

Pick your work account and enter your Network ID / Password and sign in
Login with your network ID or email account
(i.e. [email protected])

NOTE: If you are already registered to use MFA via a phone call, you will be called by
MFA to access this page

On your phone, install the Microsoft Authenticator App. Download now


You will be prompted to get the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone. If you
are using a company phone, it should already be loaded. If it is not (or you are using
a personal phone) you can download the app from the App Store (for Apple devices)
or the Play Store (for Android Devices)

After you install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device, click the + sign

Select Work or School account

The camera will automatically turn-on on your phone


And already to scan QR Code

On your computer, click “Next” to show the QR code

Point the phone camera at the QR code on the computer. When the QR code is in focus, it
will automatically take the picture and complete the setup.
Click Next

If for any reason you cannot get the camera to take the picture, you can select
“Can’t scan the QR code’ on the computer. Then, on the phone, select ‘Or enter
code manually’ and enter the code and URL provided

Once the setup is complete, it will ask you to verify the setup. A verification
message will be sent to your phone. Once you receive it, select “Approve” to
complete the verification process

Verification completed and then click Next

2. Install Citrix Receiver

Download Citrix Receiver

3. Install Global Protect

Open URL: https://gp.fmi.com:3333


On the portal login page, enter your Name (username) and Password, and then click LOG
IN. In most instances, you can use the same username and password that you use to
connect to your corporate network.

Download the app.


To begin the download, click the software link that corresponds to the operating system
running on your computer. If you are not sure whether the operating system is 32-bit or
64-bit, ask your system administrator before you proceed.

After installation is complete, close the wizard and Log in to Global Protect.
Enter the FQDN or IP address of the portal that your Global Protect administrator provided:
198.176.210.250:3333, and then click Connect

Sign in Global Protect


Use the same username and password that you use to connect to your corporate network.

Verification will be sent to you
Once you receive it, select “Approve” to complete the verification process

Enter your Network ID / Password and Log On

Select Desktop and click Workstation-GRS

Open Email from Citrix
Type outlook on the search and then click Outlook icon
