CCN Lab 9 Router-Interface - ND

This document describes a lab experiment on configuring router interfaces. The objectives are to learn how to configure router interfaces to enable communication between networks. It involves setting up a network with one router and two PCs. The router interfaces are configured with IP addresses from three different class C networks. The PCs are also configured with IP addresses from their respective networks. The connectivity is tested by pinging from one PC to the other.

Question: Why the hosts have been assigned the default gateway addresses?
Ans: If your device has multiple interfaces, then certain other devices or networks may be
reachable only through a subset of the interfaces. You must add specific routes for those. The
default route is the route to "the rest of the internet". It tells your device to which interface to send
those packets.

Step 3: Check the interface status:

Router1#sh ip int brief

Step 4: Check the routing table entries:

Router0#sh ip route

Step 7: Check connectivity from host to host
