Standard SAP uses MRP type X0 for external planning. X0 behaves like ND in terms of MRP in
R/3. We have created a new MRP type X1 that allows planning in MRP and APO at the same
time. X0 and X1 are both planned in external system, but MRP can run for X1 materials.

PPM is required for the planning group, check the indicator 'Create SNP'.

Pre-requisites: Setup Groups/Keys and Matrices from APO.

Maintain resources in R/3, including the APO Resource View located in capacity details.

3.4.2. Creation of Handling Resource (GR Time in APO)

3.4.5. Material Master

The R/3 Material Master is Ciffed into the APO Product Master.
The material master data in R/3 has been enhanced to support all APO fields used in CCNA. In
this way, there will be no product master maintenance in APO. All material master data
maintenance is performed in R/3.

a) CIF ENHANCEMENT (R/3 EXISTING FIELDS) – No tables changes required.

The following fields exist in R/3 but are not Ciffed using the standard functionality.
The CIF must be enhanced to also complete the following R/3 fields in APO.

d) Screen Definition

We need to copy screen SAPLMGD1 2480 and make the following changes/additions:
The new screen/program will be configured to replace subscreen 5 of screen 26 for screen
sequence 21.
A new screen will be added for the detail behind the subscreen like for MRP areas.

Right now with standard R/3, this screen is only shown if MRP areas are activated.

The copied program should retain the old logic but have the following additional check.

4.1. One Time Global Config - APO

During CCNA implementation, new heuristics have been created:

 YFIX_FIRM – Enhancement to the PPDS Board to FIX planned orders.

 YUFIX_UFIRM - Enhancement to the PPDS Board to UNFIX planned orders.
 YFLAGCONVIND – Enhancement to the PPDS Board to convert Planned Orders into Process
orders.
 YMERGE – Enhancement to the PPDS Board. New heuristic to merge orders for the same
material that are back to back.
 YSMERGE - Enhancement to the PPDS Board. New heuristic to merge orders for the same
material that are back to back and split orders considering breaks and non working times.
 YSAP_SNP_SGL – New heuristic to convert SNP orders into PPDS orders in the Standard
Invidual conversion transaction.
 YSNPCONV - New heuristic to convert SNP orders into PPDS orders in the PPDS Board
 YSPLIT - Enhancement to the PPDS Board. New heuristic to split orders in 2 or in multiple
orders considering the rounding value for minimum quantities.
 YSAP_MRP_001 _ Same as SAP_MRP_001 but using YSAP_PP_002 as product heuristic.
 YSAP_PP_002 – Same as SAP_PP_002 but using the heuristic lot size procedure LFL
 YSAP_PP_002B – Same as SAP_PP_002 but the creation of orders uses FIFO, negative stock
allowed. This to prevent creating orders in the middle of existing fixed orders.

Work Areas configuration is plant specific. This functionality is used to group work centers and
materials to be displayed in the PPDS board.

 Y0353_SYS12 System 1 and 2 Resources
 Y0353_SYS3 System 3 Resources
 Y0353_SYS4 System 4 Resources.

The work area naming convention will be YXXXX_YYYYY, where XXXX is the plant number
and YYYYY is a free text.

4.3.6. Maintain Optimization Profile

This configuration will be done only if new calendars are required.

In CCNA we adopted 2 factory calendars:

4.4.1. Material Master Profiles
Materials master profiles must be maintained for each solucion.

Follow the same naming convention than Dunedin profiles. Profiles will be assigned to the
material master, MRP1 APO view in R/3.

4.4.2. Setup Groups/Keys

Create/Maintain Setup Groups and Keys following the coding and naming convention.
This task has to be completed before the Recipes are created in R/3.

Create/Maintain Setup Matrices following the coding and naming convention.
Matrix Heather must exist before the Resources are created in R/3. The matrix values can be

2.4.6. Maintain Merge / Smerge Tables

To enable the CCNA heuristics (Merge/Smerge, Fill Reconciliation, CIP Orders), the user needs

the other resource that is related in this table.

NOTE: There is a transaction to automatically replicate downtimes. This transaction is

YCRESUP and can be executed in the bakground and will replicate the downtimes using the
