Tell something about yourself

 Good afternoon ma’am, I am former OFW for 5 years in Brunei Darussalam. I

have been working there as an Assistant Supervisor. First and foremost, I am
hardworking, loyal and enthusiastic person who understands how important
work is, to my overall happiness. I take my work very seriously and I am
always looking to improve my skills and qualifications so I can work to the
highest standards possible in my role.

Why did you decide to become a teacher?

 I decided to become a teacher to pass on my technical knowledge to future

generations. And for me, teaching is a way of serving our communities who will
give and shape the youth into which they will be the next leaders of our people.

What can you offer in our school?

 What makes me unique from your other candidates is that I am a continuous
learner, always working to improve my skills. Also, I am an imaginative thinker,
allowing me to come up with creative ways to recruit prospective students. I’m
very self-motivated. If I see that something needs to get done, I take it upon
myself to do it.

How will you connect your lessons to the real world?

 I will connect my lessons through classroom material that can relates to their
real-world. I can talk about my life experiences, I can bring up current events or
I ask students to talk about family values or beliefs. Nowadays, media is the
main tool used by teachers to bring the real world into the classroom. I may
also use national or international online news networks to discover topics of
interest and open the classroom to the wider world.

What is the greatest challenge facing teachers today?

 The greatest challenge facing teachers today is the method of teaching in
today’s era caused by pandemic. The way of learning today is through modular
and online flat forms where the teaching of our teachers is limited as well as
the lack of resources required in teaching.
Thank you Ma’am for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing back
from you soon.
