Laboratory Exercises No. 2

WATER QUALITY MEASUREMENT
NAME: _______________________ RATING: __________
SECTION: ____________________ DATE: ____________

I. INTRODUCTION

Water quality parameters is an indicator of health of aquaculture species.

Familiarizing in these parameters will enable us to monitor and to control these
parameters to ensure the optimum health and growth of our aquaculture species.

II. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the exercise the student are expected:

1. Identify the different water quality parameters and the normal and
unfavorable levels of these parameters.
2. Use the knowledge obtained about the water quality parameters to
evaluate events such as fish kill or stunted growth.

III. METHODOLOGY

1. Define the different water quality parameters

2. Define the water quality measurement and management for selected
water quality parameter.
3. Cite just one (1) event in the news wherein fish kill occurred and relate it to
the water quality parameters discussed.
